Yeah, really, what is Scarlett Johansson doing there? Girl wasn't too brilliant in Match Point.

Shirley MacLaine or Gong Li, people. It was the way to go.

Yep, those two would have also been acceptable.

That's probably the worst results i've seen thus far tonight. Clooney's nominated for the wrong film and Giamatti's performance was overrated.

Why was Clooney nominated for Good Night and not Syriana?

Did people just like hate Syriana or something?

Despite my Syriana dislike, he was better in it.

just joining the show now...

wow, wasn't expecting Clooney to get nominated for his performance in Good Night, & Good Luck (did Syrianna votes count for this film as well?). Anyway, he'll probably be the one I'd vote for out of this bunch.

He was certainly far better in Syriana, although I didn't love the movie.

Yep, Giamatti is definitely overrated for CM.

But Kilmer!!!

But congrats to George, Jake, and Mickey.

I haven't seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang yet, though.

Cinderella Man was very, very forgettable, as was Paul G.

American Splendor = greatness for Paul G.

Everything since = kill me now.

I'm sick of him

He was great in Sideways, too, but yes, he was very forgettable in CM.

Giamatti may have been overrated, but CM is a great movie. I would have preferred Russell Crowe over Giamatti, but I doubt Crowe will get a nod. The film is overlooked as hell.

Crowe is possibly one of the most overrated actors of all time.

He's solid, but not great. Colin Farrell is a better actor :nonono:
