I see DIB is not partaking in the ceremony yet. Probably because there is no Django yet.

Re: WOKJ Motion Picture Awards Winners Ceremony - LIVE
In case I am not here (but I will be here), he is my speech: Animation is an often misunderstood medium of film. Notice I used the word medium, not genre. That's right, animation is not a genre, and it should not be limited to such, and this year proves that the medium of animation can tackle several different styles and world, themes and ideas. First is Pixar's sweeping celtic fantasy that explores the themes of family, tradition, feminism, and the bond between a mother and her daughter in Mark Andrews' Brave. Although the film switched hats from Brenda Chapman to Mark Andrews midway through production, this beautiful depiction of Scotland still managed to win over audiences and inspire the hearts of young girls in their drive to find themselves and where they belong in this world. Next we have Tim Burton's classic animated short come to full light in Frankenweenie, as he explores the themes of science, loss, love, and the bond between a boy and his dog. The film became a critic darling despite its luke-warm run at the box-office. But for those who managed to snatch a peek at this gothic flick full of Burton's patanted macabre humor noticed a return to form on Burton's part as the legendary director of all things weird and ghoulish re-discovered how to invest his heart into his characters and develop them accordingly. Chris Butler and Sam Fell's ParaNorman explores similar themes of ghoulish delights, but in a different manner as this flick is perhaps a more straightforward homage to horror flicks of old than Burton's Frankenweenie. This film captures that ghastly breezy eerie time of the year known as Halloween and all of its autumn delights in a way that challenges John Carpenter himself. In a whole different world with themes of not horror, nor magic or the undead, but maybe a little bit of science is Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, Pirates! Band of Misfits from Peter Lord. In full fledged British humor of the Aardman kind, this rambunctious adventure set to capture the delight of the young and old and has become a favorite amongst members on these here boards. Last we have possibly one of the more creative films from one of the least likely of places, Disney. Disney has had an incredible year in animation, with two other nominees in this very category, but it is their in house film that might very well be the best of the bunch in Rich Moore's arcade nostalgia pumped comedy, Wreck-it-Ralph. Exploring the themes of heroism, morality, order, and a father-daughter-esque bond, this original yet retro animated flick captures the imagination as it transports audiences into a whole new world of video game noir.
