Damn, you NEVER dated in high school? Wow, it wouldn't be the same without that for me, same with middle school. I mean, I've been going out with people since I was 12 (though it obviously wasn't as frequent as it is now), and I don't mean the type of going out where you hold hands and see a movie then break up for two weeks. I am sorry about your back though neo, that's gotta suck. And yeah, I actually got a pass to see Miss Congeniality 2 for free, but not only did I think it looked terrible, not even my girlfriend wanted to see it!

I'm not going to ask what that meant. I was a total late-bloomer. I didn't even think about this stuff then, so while the coach cracked jokes, it didn't really bother me. I used to go to an all girl's summer camp around the mid-teens and I just remember some of the stuff I heard made my ears burn. Heh, I was a total prude.

I think its kinda cute actually. I never dated in highschool, so this is totally new to me. We used to have a guidance councelor/track coach that gave us little encouraging words about boys not liking strong athletic women, and that we'd have to wait 'til college.

I had one bf when I was 13, so all of highschool was a no-go. I think it can be kind of cute. Going to amusement parks.....sipping sodas....sneaking into the locker rooms during lunch.

Man, my mom used to beg me to date guys in high school. Parents are odd about that. I had a friend who couldn't even bring home a guy (even friend or study mate) and if it was for study group they had to stay in the kitchen in sight of the parents, and then there was my mother....she wanted us to even have sleep-over parties with boys.

Where can I get those free passes? I can save $20 bucks.

Well unfortunately, it's exclusive to the Lloyd Center in Portland, otherwise I could mail them to ya.

And don't worry Dolce, I didn't mean it in a bad way, some people just do things differently, especially in there teenage years. Nothin against ya for holding back in high school, as long as you're not one of the girls who looked down on all the ones who didn't (Well, to an extent ;))

Nah. I was jealous in as much as I wanted attention like anyone. I didn't really want to get into it, but I had friends who did, and I thought it was fine. I was a quirky one in highschool. Alot of people thought I was uber-dorky because I hung out in the art room all day, was one of the top student, pres of amnesty internation, envirnmental peace movement, and worked on the school paper. Lots of sports, etc. One day this girl wrote a retarded opinion peace for the paper totally condeming youths who drank. I wrote back saying how full of bs her article was and the whole school flipped. They didn't believe it. Anyways, that was bit too late to start dating since it was half way through senior year, but after that I think people realized I had a personality. :P

Good for you, that's a really stupid thing for someone to write, and unfortunately I know some people who think the same sort of thing they probably did. But hey, better late then never I guess, by now I'm sure you've managed to pick up some expierience. ;)

I'm still making up for lost time. You have to watch out for those girls that get stuck in tiny suburban towns. you let them loose in the city and its...all...over.

Wait, dolce...

You didn't date at all? No nights with any single man?

Dating isn't the same as going out, at least to me it isn't. I date but I can't yet make a commitment...

Not even one single date. I went to prom with a friend when i was a sophmore (he was a junior) and when i was a junior i asked him to mine. not one smoochy throughout all of highschool. Ah well, I think its fine. Different strokes for different folkes. I'm actually surprised you guys date. I don't know, there was some very interesting stuff going around my school. I used to get very mad at how conservative our health education class was. They would ask women questions about thir bodies and the girls couldn't even answer. I spent alot of itme wondering how people were having sex without knowing what it was yet.

I came from a very open family and had an older sister (8 years) so learned so much from her. My mom knew she didn't know everything and got us books (leave it to me to read up on sex) about sex and puberty and emotional stability and all that stuff. I also drank since I was in the single digits. So its odd to me how I actually felt like I knew more about everything than any of the kids that were actually dating in highschool. Heh, I used to have friends ask me for advice considering I pretty much spent my entire week running track and throwing ceramics.

Both of my (half)-sisters are 10 years older than I am and I haven't learned one thing from them...

My parents aren't very open. It's a hassle to even get out of the house with people they trust...

As for puberty books (ah, the great things). My mom once got me a book like that, though...when I was 10. It was...interesting. Better than The Jewish Book of Why, which condemns nearly everything...

Haha, I was mostly just messin with ya, where you live and that sort of thing mostly doesn't make a difference. I'd be lying if I said I probably haven't had girls act specific ways like that, but ah well.

Haha! Must of missed that one. The only Jewish book I ever got was from random family friends during my bat mitvah...they went to the basement pretty damn quick. Nope, we got Our Bodies, Ourselves. A very good book put together by women across a wide range of professions.

She did? My mom was never than protective of me, but she was of my sister. She wouldn't let her even go out on dates with boys until she was 16, and even then she was protective.
