Err...lol. There is alot that is to be said, Nebs...
If going over why I was banned is a hate thread, and/or going over some flaws that BOF has....I must have missed something. I dont call that a "hate" thread.
Eagle even agreed when I PM'd him asking if he would go as far as banning someone on KJ if they made such a thread, or an actually thread that was obviouslt bashing KJ on BOM or BOF, and he said he wouldnt.
And I dont hate BOF. I hate how it decides what is best for the site, not BOF itself. I like almost every poster on there, they all have a personality different than one another, and that is great. <----change of opinion.

I'd like to point something out here. No one would really be banned here for ever bitching. However, sometimes bitching brings its own set of demons that automatically conflict with some forum rules, such as spamming even after a decision has been taken, double accounts (as i've heard taking place), personal attacks (from all sides really). So while the bitching itself or a thread questioning the decisions are in no way justifications for banning here, users have been, and will be called out the minute the rules are being played around with.
Then again, we've probably only banned 2 members here who have posted a bit or lots here. Even in those situations, we prefer not to ban. A few though, have been banned for a 1 week period.

I wasnt breaking any rules Exel. I wasnt lashing out at people.
I shouldnt have to shut up, no poster should, unless they are going to the extreme by either personally attacking someone, spamming like hell, etc. Not for wanting to be heard Exel.
The ones who are saying they will leave and/or would leave are the ones who think ill of me for whatever reason. That could be classified as a personal disliking, but in no way means a poster should be quite. The Admin needs to work out the problem instead of trying to shut everyone up. Shutting posters up may be easier, but it is wrong.

It's not just the "hate" threads that caused you to be banned. It's the members themselves. When they saw what you did, they just uttered "Please permanently ban her. I can't believe she just did that." Not everybody said that, or even thought that but most did. Because of what you did, people didn't want you back in the forum. And do you know what happens when you're not wanted in the forum? You're permanently banned.

The irony in this post is uncanny. so a decision to ban did spawn from from the members of BOF, against the one asking for decisions to be made by the BOF community.
Now that i've explained it, doesn't sound that amusing anymore.

So if several posters on a site wants another poster banned, they are? That is wrong. Unless the poster in question went overboard. I did not.
TO any member on KJ, If I made similar thread like I did on BOF, where I posted the views of what they thought of their site, would you turn against me, and ask for me to be banned? AND, assuming I was only suspended, which is the worse this situation should have gotten, and went to...BOF or BOM, speaking my mind about KJ and what happend, would u up the suspention to a banning?

a) If people don't agree with you, they will let you know. If you're starting a thread, you're essentially encouraging discussion where people will speak their mind. If they don't agree, people will say so and will do so in the manner they're more accostumed to. Some may be inappropriate, some may be fine and but rarely is it at a bannable level.
b) At some point where you and the community and the admins are going around in circles, the thread will eventually be closed. If subsequent threads spawn from it again and again and the topic is continually brought up, you may borderline on spamming.
c) At such situations, users have in the past asked for bannings or suspensions or warnings to take place. This is not uncommon.

But you did. I wasn't around for the situation, but from what I know the admins just wanted to improve the site by putting together or deleting a few useless forums, changing some titles, changing the frontpage, and you started a huge bitchfight about how the people are supposed to make all the decisions, that went on and on and on and sent the entire boards into a frenzy and screwing up all order. If someone on KJ went ballistic when Eagle made small improvements to the site, I'm sure he wouldn't be too pleased either.

For some reason, I am having a hard time explicating my views on this subject matter. Maybe because I didn't make an individual decision on banning Corpse. As far I can remember, it was a peaceful morning then Corpse walks in, shares her views, and everything just started to flame. I don't know. I'm perplexed at the moment.

But they havent gone through. Which is the point.
I wasnt borderline spamming either. I made one, only one thread out side of the poll, that was made in someone elses thread....

I fail to understand your stance in this situation Corpsee
You first get pissed off that BOF made decisions without involving the community and made a decision amongst the admins and Mods or whatever. You claim the community should have made the decision together. Then you got suspended and according to Eventine, most people were asking for one. Then you claim that just because most ask for it doesn't make it right.
So here is my confusion. Most people you refer to do not always make a right deicision, yet they're part of the community you speak of, and the same community you wish make the decisions. I'm terribly confused. Either go by the community decision, or allow the admins and Mods to have the final say in the matter. Or are you just hoping for things that matter to you have just YOUR say in them?

Shack, it takes more than a single person to send the board into a frenzy. I shared what I thought, and then it happend. Is it ok for the board to go crazy when a poster shares what they think?
I didnt get angry with any of that Shack. They are taking opinions on Gulli's and Eventine's front page ideas, which is great. I am not angry about that at all.
What I was angry about, was that they didnt include hardly enuff posters when determining who should run the board. AND YES, I know the Admin has the final say so, but when they themselves want to hear posters view points, suggestions on how to improve, I did just as they asked.
And I hardly went balistic. I never attacked anyone. I never said "No, your view sucks". Im not putting blame, but I was attacked plenty of times. I was one of the most calm when all of this happened. I accpeted the compromise one poster suggested, I was wanting to share all views, I dont call this having a bitchfit.

When it comes to banning someone at the request of some posters, I do not think that is right. I think the admins should listen to what the posters want however, unless it is extreme. Banning a fellow member for what they did, is however.
When I refer to the posters making suggestions, and decisions of sorts, I dont mean on whether or not person should be banned really. Helping with the rules, yes. But not a hasty decision like that.
They ones that like that I am banned, think I have hurt their reputation via the threads such as this one. That is not true, and I cannot tell them that now. I want BOF to grow obviously, I like BOF and what it stands for, but as of late, I felt it wasnt doing what it was meant to do. HOWEVER, Eventine has got the posters more involved in the decision making process I see. That is a very good thing.
Does that help?

not really.
you're once again merely stating what is acceptable by you and what is not. in your opinion, one is, the other isn't. in the eyes of the management at BOF, both are acceptable. this is nothing more than an argument over differences in opinion.

All that I want(ed), is for the people of BOF to have been more involved. I never said anything about "Its my way, or yea u know". I was wanting to show everyones viewpoints on the changes they made. You know, feedback of sorts. But it got way too crazy, and that didnt happen. I dont like absolutes, never have, and never will. Eventine has made some nice changes as of late, which is a good sign.

Maybe to help you understand more, I will give u a concrete example. The Site suggestion forum here. That is VERY similar to what I want(ed) on BOF, and was trying to get something like that accomplished. And it doesnt have one that good yet, but BOF is now moving towards it well.

Another BO site, similar to KJ and BOM.
