Since when is emotion a bad thing?

When your whole argument is based on emotion, it's a bad thing.

 My whole argument based on emotion? People dying is an emotion? Well when a argument lacks "emotion" it seems a bit...cold hearted, as in you would do anything to justify the means. That shit happens so deal with it.

You're twisting my words. What I said was, that you used appeal to emotion in your argument (people dying is bad!), without thinking rationally about the whole thing.

I can use the same argument you provided (how would you tell a mother about her child dying in a car crash?) to make a case for outlawing cars.

Sorry for twisting, I misunderstood what you said.
you really think the outlawiing car theory can be equated with what were talking about?

If all you talk about is how bad it is for someone to die, then yes.

You agree that some wars are justified; do the innocent people not die in those wars? Of course they do.

Big deal. So does Canada... so I guess we'll never get rid of the asshole, now that he's on OUR turf and covets Hybernia. Once the Yanks show up at your door, they NEVER leave

No other country comes close to Iraq. The whole sordid mess is a make-work project for Halliburton, as everyone knows by now.

BTW: Ever since Saddam was "removed," it's been nothing but hard times for the Chrs in Iraq. (He was actually protecting them.)

Iraq Adopts Terror Alert System

BAGHDAD—The Iraqi Department of Homeland Security recently released a 10-level, color-coded homeland security advisory system that will alert citizens to the risk of a terrorist attack within Iraq's borders. The country's current threat level is elevated, or Code Yellow-Orange. Citizens living in towns with populations of 1,500 or more should prepare for the smoke of burning vehicles to obscure the sun and expect hostages to be tortured for several days before being killed. Should the terror risk level rise to Code Orange-Yellow, it is likely that hostages will be left alive only long enough to dig their own graves.

Understand, that it doesn't matter to a mother whether her child died of cancer, car crash or a tank.

What's that? Backpedalling now? Let me repeat what you said:

If they really cared about people, they'd be doing the same damn "police action" in Sudan. But what doth it profiteth the Man?

You're a truly great predictor.

Oh, yes yes. The same Halliburton that was receiving no-bid contracts in Kosovo from Clinton admin. But it was different back then, I am sure of that.

Post Question
If Saddam was still in Power how many people would be dead? How many did he kill annually?

Would this be more acceptable numbers?

its the fact of waht saddam has done in the past...for example, what the preists did in the catholic church was maybe 30 years ago but they still got punished for it just as well as Saddam should. He may not be a threat now but he deserved to punished. As one poster said before. What comes around goes around...
