Someone just said over at BOM that I joined there to promote my site. Which is very untrue

The first thread I made about my website was in the Real Life forum. I asked people to review my site and tell me what i could improve about the design and such.

Eventually I did offer people to post their reviews. I feel now that I should explain why I did this. It is one of my aspirations to become a film critic, and one of the things that you must have to accomplish this goal, is an archive of your reviews. If you write for a newspaper then they want to see coppies, and if you write for a website they want 50-100 reviews archived online.

I did not have this, and that was the reason I started my website in the first place. After posting on BOM for a while I thought to myself that I may not be the only person running into this road block. So I made a thread in the Speakeasy "Aspiring movie Critics" or something of that nature. And offered to host anyone's reviews. That is how it started, and that is why I offered.

I really did not try to promote my website through BOM. It was not something that I felt I had to do. I have no popups on my website. I have no advertisements on my website. I make no money what so ever off of my website, and I have to pay for all web hosting costs. I do this because I want to, and for sean to think that I was trying to steal people away from BOM is ... too bad. As I have said many times, I am a member of many boards, and I truely feel that it is not hard to coexist on multiple message boards at one time.

I am sorry if I have caused any of you problems, and sincerly hope you will continue posting here because ... well ... i can't post at BOM anymore.

I'm a little disappointed in MikeQ. I see he's a mod again, after Sean "fired" him recently for no reason. I understand Mike has been there since the beginning, but it's time to realize that it'll never get better, just continue to get worse, and he is powerless to change things. Squee's just an ass kissing flunky that would sell his mother out to continue serving as a mod there, and I lost respect for him when he showed his true colors back in January, and turned his back on people that he called friends, just so he could remain a mod for Sean. JMP is old friends with Sean, so that doesn't say much for his character that he supports him, and it's a shame, because I used to like and respect him a lot. MR.X...step down already as a mod. Show some character.

On the subject of promoting websites, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a function on the board that does exactly that, and aren't there more than a few members that have a website mentioned in their profiles, and it shows up on ever post the make, just like PM, MSN, E-MAIL, PROFILE, and whatever button link that appears at the bottom of everyone's post?

I've been talking to Mr. X on AIM and he said he is seriously considering stepping down. Squee wasn't as bad as RAWSAW with the December incident, so I'm steady with him (RAWSAW was the true asskissing flunky of that time). I agree with Mike and JMP, though. Mike is better than to be a moderator for that hellhole.

A few things to note:

a) Lovemerox. I apologise. I have changed the title of the thread to get people to read this reply. No other intentions.

b) I am closing all mojo related threads on this forum except this one. This has nothing to do with not allowing people the ability to exercize freedom of speech. I'm doing this for all of us. We're trying to create something new and last I checked, soemthing new cannot be created if all we think about is something connected to are past. I want everyone to MOVE ON. Sentiments are high again, I can tell, but I dont see why for the moment, we can't keep it all summed up here.

c) I will not force this down everyone's throat but I will request everyone to be a bit more civil. Joke about it, be sarcastic but I think we've all gotten the point that you are calling a certain someone "this word" or "that word". Lets be the better men/women/animals/transformers/misc and show "certain people" what people skills are all about. Maybe, just maybe, someone will learn.

d) I like boobs.

Guys quit with the personal attacks on posters over at BOM. Its not going to make this site get any stronger. I don't think its going to help if someone does jusp off and then comes in here interested in keeping up with y'all and instead finds pages and pages of slamming. I know some of the above mentioned people pretty well and you need to remember that alot of people get swepped away in the moment and only step back to think about it in the aftermath. That's how it goes.

I agree. I don't want people bad mouthing people on my behalf. Mr X, Mike Q, Tony Montana, are/were all great moderators, and the moderators get put in a hard spot by all of this. I think we all need to just move on from this. I don't agree with what sean did, but he has the right, and I don't want him excercising that right on any of you. Lets enjoy the movies!

Squee is worse than RAWSAW. One is no longer there as a mod, and it's RAWSAW, not Squee. Rich is a friend of mine, and I have talked with him on several occassions about the state of things over there, and he only was doing what he thought was best, even though you and I and lots of other people thought he looked bad doing it. Believe me, he knows how he looked, and it wasn't his intention, but sometimes, it's hard to communicate your intentions over the net. I mess up their sometimes too. It's like MikeQ going back and wanting to "help" things. He's making a mistake to, and it's not reflecting good on him at all, just like it didn't reflect good on RAWSAW. They both just wanted to help in the worst way.

What has Squee ever done there to help? He wouldn't even bother voting in awards. He just wanted to have some power, and he turned his back on people over it. I don't remember RAWSAW ever turning his back on people. I don't think Mike ever will. I talked to RAWSAW last night, and I'm a banned anti Sean person, and he has never once told me I was wrong for feeling that way, and he doesn't like how Sean does quite a bit of things. He wasn't happy about me getting banned. He just tried to keep the peace long enough to try to get some answers out of Sean, which is what you would see when he posted, but since he's no longer a mod, wouldn't you say that he isn't kissing anybody's ass?

Now, as far as December goes, RAWSAW was the silent partner in the website that baumer and I were involved with, that unfortunately didn't work out because of time reasons with baumer mostly. He got too busy, and it was too much to handle by myself, but RAWSAW was involved too.

I can honestly tell you guys, and I mean this as somebody who talked with RAWSAW a lot, that he was not on Sean's nipple, and I do know that it looked like he was by some of his posts, and even I told him that, but in reality, he was just trying to help, and the fact that he is no longer a mod should tell everybody that there is more to that story. It's hard to give up on things that mean something to you, and RAWSAW is no different than the rest. The difference is, he never turned his back on somebody that he called a friend, and totally cut them off in the name of BOM. Squee did.

Final Words:
Other than Sean's decision which is the subject of discussion here (and hopefully not for long), lets not talk about people who do not have a chance to defend themselves here. Theres no point in having people to register for the sake of only efending themselves and never coming back.
