 Re: Michael Jackson Memorial Thread
Brooke Shields was good but they should do the Oscar thing to get them/HER off the stage faster. Thta went on alittle too long. Glad she didn't try to dance in Michael's honor.

That was painful. For several reasons.

From the love of God, which is in the Christ Jesus.
JERMAINE IS A MUSLIM.
MLK's kids are such shadows of their dad.

The daughter sounds more like her father than the son.

I do not like Bernice King. It is taking a lot of self restraint to not tell of my real feelings.

Box wrote: Jeff wrote: I do not like Bernice King. It is taking a lot of self restraint to not tell of my real feelings. oh go ahead. She was part of the reason Rick Warren spoke at King's Annual Memorial Service here in Atlanta. (Warren being a terrible choice to celebrate the life of a man who gave his life in service. Don't get me started there). Bernice was why Coretta Scott King's memorial service was moved from Ebeneezer Baptist Church (in downtown Atlanta, where MLK spoke and where his service was held) to a conservative church out in the suburbs. (Also far out from where people whom Coretta worked to help could get to). Bernice is an outspoken critic of gay rights, again going against Coretta's work (and that of Coretta's eldest daughter). That's just on an ideological level. There is a great deal of internal problems with the King Center but I can't pin those on just her.

I think Joe Jackson wants Usher to be a replacement for Michael. Lol.
