I could easily see Streep upsetting, since it's probably the only nominee half of WOKJ has seen. And I'll be sad when it happens.

I'd rather have naked Mirren. Hell, I'd rather have Naked Mirren over ALL the nominees, sans Katie, of course.

BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE
I’ve said this time and time again, but acting is a very difficult thing to do. The greatest actors make it seem so easy, but it takes a lot of focus, refinement and all around dedication to a certain character or person to act. It requires knowledge of the characters feelings, motives, actions and history. The best performances have a lot of thought behind them, and may even include outside research.
Great actors don’t always make a great movie, but often they do. As we’ve seen before, a great actor can completely make a film. For example, Helen Mirren arguably was the stronghold of The Queen and the sole reason the film succeeded so well. Other times, it is the actors ability to define themselves among other actors in rich ensembles like The Departed or Little Miss Sunshine. Sometimes, just sometimes, an actor is just plain terrific and truly creates what seems like a real person on screen. They mesmerize the audience.
All of the Best Actor performances for 2006 in one way, shape or form delve into something special, and that’s why we remember them at the end of the year and possibly for years to come. Congratulations to the following nominees:
Sacha Baron Cohen, Borat
Daniel Craig, Casino Royale
Leonardo DiCaprio, The Departed
Ryan Gosling, Half Nelson
Clive Owen, Children of Men
And the winner is….
