Ripper wrote: Before i take what at this at point is wanting to be more and more of a permanent break from KJ let me say a few things.
1. Nothing I said on skype about about KJ is secret or ever was a secret. Its not like my dislike of Ericka is not abundantly clear. It has been for a while now.
2. Skype was never intended as some giant secret some people, including Nanna seem to think it was meant to be. It started as testing out fucking KJ radio.
However, in 5 years of posting with you people and talking to many of you privately, NEVER, before now have I felt that shit I said not on KJ was being shared. I respect people's privacy, and I expect the same in return.
So forgive me if it bugs me that a place were I chat about shit going on in my life with people I consider friends is comprised. Just as if my friends in real life decided it was ok to report verbatim comments I made to people I don't like, I would be pissed, I was pissed here.
I accept Nanna omission of not sharing logs or private details, that is what concerned me the most. I, and many of the members of chat talk about stuff we don't mention here.
And to Tony's point, I don't think its crazy to expect privacy. Because the members of chat are not 12. In the end most if not all of what Nanna said to Corpse seems rather harmless, but given that Corpse brought up Skype on this forum not us, I think we had every right to being annoyed and feel she was fishing for information.
And at the Nanna, could have just said, this is what happened, she didn't until now, so you know, had just said what she said in this thread a long damn time ago, a lot of this could have been avoided.
It wasn't retarded for Arsi to quiz people about talking to Corpse, because she was in fact doing it, and things did in fact get out.
No one but Corpse decided to turn this Skype chat into some all powerful clique, we are not the fucking illuminati.
I don't go around quizzing people if they chat with her on AIM, because I DON"T CARE AND ITS NOT MY GOD DAMN BUSINESS. She is free to talk to whoever she wants, but I don't want my private conversations reported on this forum, end of discussion.
Squee is one of my closet friends here, when he started talking to her, did I fish for information from him about no, because that shit is rude.
If that is to much to ask, this level of privacy, as Tony suggests, the I have no reason to speak to most of you here or privately, again.
Back to this secretive thing, members have been talking privately for years, why now is suddenly some giant clique, some secretive thing, it never was, but forgive me if I don't want my actions and words followed like I am 10 and need a fucking parent.
I have always complained about the posting of private stuff, from AIM convo's to whatever.
3. Due to speaking to people in Skype, some of whom I have met, I have been accused of:
a. Plotting against Korrgan b. Plotting against Corpse c. Being childish d. Fixing the poster awards e. Being secretive f. somehow influencing mod/admin decisions.
Apparently wanting discussions that exist not here, to remain not here was unreasonable. Apparently, being bothered when it was brought up was childish.
If I had the power in f, I wouldn't be posting this right now, because then the people I don't fucking like would be gone, and a through e would be a nonissue. But you know, that is being logical.
4. I just came from spending one week with Arthur, a remainder of some great friendships I have actually made here.
So I am just going to enjoy those, and move on, but I don't really watch movies, aside from the TDK I haven't cared about the box office in years, so there really is no reason for me to be here anymore.
It was a nice eye opener about why I bothered to come back to posting to begin with.
I honestly don't care what Corpse thinks about me, but when people who I do like start accusing me of shit, that bothers me. It bothers me enough to not want to be here.
I mean, people think Skype was started to control the forums, WTF, wow, this makes it clear its time to go.
If you'll excuse me, I have hill repeats to run, and I should have left 3 minutes ago. I think there is some misunderstanding here. I don't think anyone has ever wanted to know personal information and such of what Skype members talked about in private. I never did. I don't care what people talk about in private. I have never asked anyone something like, "Hey, has so and so said anything interesting on Skype lately?". I've never done this. Of your list you posted, points B (though only one situation with actual evidence), C, and F have occured for sure. C being when you decided to create your double account using "corpse" as the screename after I changed mine to Ericka. If you changed your own name to Corpse, that'd be perfectly okay, fair game so to speak. But not creating a double account just to prevent me from getting the name back again. And I had every right to "fish" around on who created that account. The only thing that has ever concerned me with some members of Skype were situations like that. And having knowlegde there have been several calls for my banning (or warnings) by known members for basically nothing more than disagreeing with them or someone they know. Yes, some of those exchanges have been heated, but I was usually no more out of line than the other side of that argument. And even then, I'd almost always ask for the argument to be taken to PM's since it was unhealthy for the forum, and in an A and B argument, having C and D excluded usually results in the issue being settled. And since those days, I've figured out ways to handle such situations much better. I haven't been in any spats in many months now. I have only ever cared about what happens on this forum and to it's users. I care about a random poster I've never chatted with before and how they may feel much more than I do about myself. It's why I try to resolve avoidable confrontations and problems here that aren't seen on the boards. I could care less about anything elsewhere when it comes to this place. Maybe I care just a little too much, which I do I'll admit, but that's who I've always been.

And I admit there are many times I wish I wouldn't do it, because I often don't like it for some personal reasons. But I still do it anyway since I feel guilty if I see something I could have helped with, but didn't.

I agree with most of what you say, and I hope you know I have a deep respect for you. I just think it's a matter of a difference on how we approach or utilize the internet. For me, it's more fun, and I don't take it all that seriously. For you, you take it and the relationships formed very seriously. This was evidenced by our differing feelings on the April Fools joke too. All I was saying is that on the very rare ocassion I have entered a chat, I guess I didn't have this feeling of privacy, would not have said anything I wouldn't say on the board anyhow (I speak my mind on or off). To me, also, if I'm in a large group of people, I would kind of assume everything I'm saying might get out. I can see an expectation of privacy on a one on one chat, but just don't see it if you're talking to a large group. Again, though... it probably is just due to my ignorance regarding chats and the internet. My feeling as a casual observer that doesn't know or understand all the ins and outs and gritty details of the situation that a lot of blame was being placed and hatred being focused toward Batnanna. It seems like people were jumping to conclusions and ready to hang her before any facts were in, and I think that's wrong... just as I thought it was wrong when people were jumping to conclusions and trying to hang the Skype group. That's why I think the situation was a little crazy on both sides.

Slightly? HAH Just kidding. Seriously, Corpse means well. I am pretty aware of the helpful things she has done for some members (mostly Box Office stuff and trying to calm some worked up posters).

Re: Please list these Skype people
This thread makes me rather sad now the dust has settled. I'm happy not to be arguing with Korrgan anymore and all the negtivity to have hopefully finally died. However I am rather sad that the actions of one person directly lead to a fracturing of a friendship with a person I've known for 3 years and have met and had alot of fun with. That person was used and in a way I don't blame them for what occured, the other individual knows full well what their actions lead to, they'll never admit it thou, its not in their nature it seems.
I'm not really interested in right or wrong or whatever, just sad at how a person in full knowledge of their actions allowed this to occur, wears me out and kills a little bit of trust I might have in people which at this stage is reaching the bottom of a deep barrel.

Meh, what can one do Loyal, somebody decided to destroy a friendship between two people over something as completely silly and insignificent as an internet forum. I can't reconcile that, I've tried and came up horribly short. So I guess the moral is this person wins, congrats enjoy yor hollow "victory". I think I'll bow out after this and take a permanent break like cynthia, where is the fun when something ends like this. The moment this thread was opened I asked Christian, Nebs and Royd to close it. I knew where it was going to lead, it was going to be the last straw. Royd was the only one with even the common courtesy to reply to me. So anyway let this person continue to "help" others and be a "positive" influence, they won I lost congrats I guess.
