Canada is a sovereign nation with its own laws and customs. Show a little respect.

You guessed right! As in, YEAH right! Hahaha... oh, I suck. Hint: it's almost as eastern as Newfoundland, and it's Nova Sc  otia. I'll give you a hint... it's Nova Scotia.

Oh, sorry, I was laughing at myself for using "eh" and reinforcing the over-generalized stereotype.

Thread resurrection of the year.
As for the news of that plant opening up in Woodstock...I think I am going to apply to it. It pays 75 grand a year and you can work much overtime. Right now I work for Bell Mobility and I bartend at night and I still don't make that. It would be nice to pull in that kind of money.

So... so... why hasn't Mike Myers, fellow Canadian, starred in a movie where he doesn't play a really oddball character? Shrek, Austin Powers, Wayne's World, even A View From the Top! I know he probably did in one of his early roles. But, I'd like to see Mike Myers play himself sometime. You know how Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler take breaks from their oddball characters? Well, Mike should do the same.
But I still love him and all his Canadianness.

He was pretty normal in So I Married an Axe Murderer, which is also one of my favorite movies of his.

Yeah, I figured he was in that movie, but wasn't that his debut movie? Mojo says it was his debut film, but I thought Wayne's World came first. But, has he done much else as a normal character since?

I guess you're right but he's a comedian, they get paid to be goofy. He'll probably do more "normal" characters as he ages more.

I have a weird question to ask all the Canucks here, adn everyone else, if they ever venture to this thread can answer to, but do you think Canada would ever be subject to a terrorist attack? I think we have enough American interest here that a well coordinated attack would severly mess things up. Our downtown core of Toronto is ripe with American interest and with our lax security here, I am honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet.
What do you guys think?

Well, there really isn't any need to attack Canada, because America is so close. If they would be planning this, why not strike south of the border, even in places like Buffalo? Also, I mean, NYC is not very far from Toronto, and neither is Chicago. They would be much bigger targets.
The thing is, those attacks need "hype", and attacking a Canadian city isn't quite the same as attacking an American one. I know that sounds somewhat inappropriate to say, but this is one time where I'm glad Canada is bland and can easily blend in with the background.
Btw, did anyone else notice how Martin was cut out of the video during Blair's conference speech when all the leaders stood behind him?
