Thanks for everything you did eagle, you provided us refugees from mojo a home and it has lasted almost 13 years, some years were better than others but i consider this site and its community the best i have been a part of. Hopefully you continue as an active member of the community. I also want to say i trust our new masters to keep this site going and hopefully grow, im down for another 13 year journey on this site. May the new era bring us more glory!

It makes you realize how much time has passed when seeing the Politiko Palace description is about the 2008 election.

The forum needs a huge overhaul in regard to the various section's descriptions, whether to fix grammar/punctuation or to remove dated references.

I could agree if the forum was an active place intent on getting new members. But WOKJ has been that grandparent that you're just waiting to die for a long time. I think it doesn't matter if any description is outdated or grammatically incorrect. This has just become a place where 10-15 members come to talk about films, and every year one of those drops off or posts considerably less, and it becomes even more insignificant as a box office discussion site.

I've frequented movie/box-office forums for over 20 years now. Since the beginning really. Trust me Karl, this site didn't need all the bells and whistles. It has what is most important. A community. Think back to the core reason why you created this site. I'm not talking features, functions, and benefits. The CORE reason. You can't say that you haven't succeeded.

I consider myself more of a lurker but I notice the camaraderie and love here (often disguised under friendly ribbing and insults). No level of programming or user interface design can create something like that. You were highly successful in fostering an environment where moviephiles can come together, talk about stuff, and along the way, become friends. This is one of the internet's best kept secrets in terms of movie forums and for that, I have two words: Well done.

This is simply another maneuver to elicit unwarranted sympathy under cover of denigrating a member. There's no need asking this type of person to reconsider, because mark my words - they'll be back all too soon.

Damnit Algren! What have you done? Now we will miss those film reviews that in 99,9999% of occasions don't differ from the general consensus and those top 10 lists done at the end of the year that mirror 1:1 what's expected to also show up in the Oscar ballots.

If I didn't dislike Algren enough as it is, the fact he chased Libs away makes me dislike him even more. She is/was one of the best active members of this forum and I've always enjoyed reading your reviews. You'll be missed.

I wish there was such a thing as an active, cool movie forum. I miss having one.
