Re: Virginia reporter/cameraman shot dead on live TV
Many people are wondering why they didn't notice the gun. My guess is that they were focused on their duties. The earpieces were in place. Instructions were being communicated. The camera was on subject while the operator/victim was watching the viewfinder and maintaining critical adjustments. The boom mic or NADY remote was under careful supervision. It was live television with no errors. And because live reporters are often surrounded by the public standing around off-camera looking on, it would not be unusual for somebody to be standing there.
However, the suspect was known to the victims. He left the station two years earlier as he threatened the boss while on his way out the door. The cameraman who was killed had recorded the suspect's dismissal. The suspect also blamed him for reporting to the boss. So I wonder how they could ignore him standing there? Had they forgotten him? Was he sporting a different look?

Many years ago there was this incident. Los Angeles reporter David Horowitz was taken by surprise while on-air in the studio. The suspect, the son of one of their on-air personalities, was invited to the set, and he took advantage of the moment. It was totally unexpected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqsQk1hlLJc

I think seeing the video on your own is fine but I dont think the media should show it and they are not.

Quote: “We would say stuff like, ‘The reporter’s out in the field.’ And he would look at us and say, ‘What are you saying, cotton fields? That’s racist,’ ” Fair recounted.
“We’d be like, ‘What?’ We all know what that means, but he took it as cotton fields, and therefore we’re all racists.” “This guy was a nightmare,” Fair said. “Management’s worst nightmare.”

He sounds like a nut job. There are so many of these blacks around these days. The ones that feel they can take advantage of white guilt and just start shit for no reason. I'm glad that he's gone and the focus of this story is going against his victim agenda.

I think these crazy people are full of rage and are willing to risk their own lives for it. Being on TV and shamed by the public are just "bonuses".

#whitelivesmatter
I wonder why there weren't any riots when this was clearly a hate crime.
