An incredibly silly comparison.

 Re: Margaret Thatcher is dead
RIP As for her historical remembrance , she was important during the 80s. However, I don't think I would rank her as one of the top 5 prime ministers for Great Britain.

I agree I think William Pitt the Younger, Lloyd George, Gladstone, Churchill and Atllee rank higher.. Of the past thirty years, even with all the controversy she easily beats the likes of Blair, Brown and Cameron. Imo no point celebrating she has gone, because in the she won. Just look at how the Labour Party talks today, it pretty much takes Thatchers view point and add's a soft touch to them.

I would put Liverpool over her too, considering how he steadied the British Empire after Napoleon. I agree about the last 30 years though.

 Re: Margaret Thatcher is dead
Early signs are people who hated really hated her with dancing in the streets the day she died and plans to hold parties on her funeral date. (Which I think is silly, its like you lost the war (the left in the UK) and are celebrating the day the General died that defeated you) On overall British society.. 50% says she was good, 34% Bad, 11% is netural. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013 ... t-thatcherIts quite clear if you read the poll that people liked her personality and image but are sharply divided on her policies.

 Re: Margaret Thatcher is dead
Don't see the point of that. She and her ideas sort of won out in the end.
