Why Miami. Not that there's anything wrong with Miami.

Well, I've wanted to go to the States again for a while now, but I also want to go somewhere, where I can go to the beach. And Florida is less expensive for me than Cali, so that seals the deal :)

Been planning that for the last few months already. Maybe you can go down there for a day or two as well ;)

1. Write more reviews

2. Get a job

3. Clean my room - I wish I was kidding, but it's been unwalkable for about 18 months now.

4. Continue making friends/Become more involved with college - I started writing for the paper last year and made a lot of friends so that's something.

5. Get into a relationship

6. Lose a tiny bit of weight

7. Raise grades

8. Organize DVD's - Goes hand-in-hand with my room because that's where I shelve all of my non-HD-DVD's. I'd say I have about 200 lying all over the place (except for the floor) and about 200 more disorganized on shelves.

9. Read more

10. Spend less

1. Drink less (I'm not an alcoholic, but I could stand to have less)
2. Chill out more when my husband isn't doing something the exact second I want him to (i.e. when he's watching football and I need him to take out the trash)
3. Gossip about my friends less (heh)
4. Go skiing (I've never been, somehow)
5. Participate in the Wirefly half-Marathon in D.C. in March (about a 13-mile course)

I'm pretty stoked about #5.

1. Be generally more open to people. (I found this past year ive been jaded a bit by the way people are, resulting in a sharp dismissal for most)

2. Give everyone i dislike a second chance. (Again, falls in with the dismissal stuff)

3. Lose some more weight and start building muscle (I totally fell off the wagon these past months, ive put on like 7 pounds and that is not cute since id been losing for over a year solid.)

4. Have an adventure. (I really need to do something wild and spur of the moment to feel alive.)

5. Start my creative endeavours again (producing and business stuff has distracted me from my creative side.)

I also want piano lessons.

Don't you own like 3000 dvds... they don't all fit in your room do they? Do you have a shed or something?

:funny:

I don't own that many. I have 1,666 as of right now (I started with five in December of '98). Right now all I know is that about 1,200 of them fit into six bookcases (I also have a bookcase for books) with one free open shelf left - When I reached 1,200 that's when I became disorganized for some reason. I still have plenty of room left though because I don't keep my HD's in there, and I can double up on top of other DVD's. Once I get over 2,000 though I'll be a little worried.

All I know is that I think Loyal and Tony have me beat, though I'm younger so I should get bonus points.

And I'm just realizing now that the thread said five goals instead of ten.......

4. Finish this communication course

Visit this forum a little less, it's really not a pleasant experience any more because of the aforementioned asswipes.
Bug Eagle for gradient text!
And I dunno.. get some new brakes for my car? They've been squeaking slightly the last month.

Great thread to bump!

1 - hmmm need to work on that one a little i think.
2 - Making progress :)
3 - Done
4 - Almost done
5 - Done

Almost three out of five i'd say, still a few months to try and achieve the rest.

Hey, bumping this thread was a cool idea.

Groucho wrote:
1. Make a success with my new law practice and make lots more money.
2. Get my second book published.
3. Find an agent or at least a new publisher with a wider distribution.
4. Build up my new business -- a medieval town for renaissance faires, recreation groups, and live action roleplaying groups.
5. Build up my live action roleplaying game with new books and publicity.
6. Help get as many democrats as possible elected in November.
7. Continue to do some cases pro bono to help defendants trapped in the system.
8. Stay alive and healthy in this, my 50th year, and travel to San Francisco for a family reunion.

EDIT:

9. Learn to count to five.

1. So far so good.
2. I need to finish it; I'm really bad about forcing myself to sit down and write.
3. Been sending out letters, but really I need to finish #2 first.
4. Excellent. We've started renting to other groups, and already have bookings for next year. It's going great.
5. The new book should be out soon, and we're adding three new chapters: Iowa, Minnesota, Philadelphia area.
6. I have contributed and done a bit of work, but I should get more involved here.
7. Hmmm. I have one big one with a hearing at the Superior Court in a few weeks but that's all.
8. Yep! Had fun in SF, staying healthy, getting old.

Managed four out of five and Miami is postponed until next summer. Not too bad I'd say.

Though #5 is iffy...I do spend a bit more time with them now, but not nearly as much as I'd like still. Definitely room for improvement there.
