Thanks to the moderators who intervened regarding snack. I was really worried a self-destructive person would have control over me.

Normally I don't respond to such "BA" comments but we all know who you are and it's very disrespectful to dis an OG like myself, I don't post nearly as much a I did as i've sat back and watched the utter ridiculous things that have been happening on this forum for at least the past 18 months. My hope is that this is not just some popularity contest but a real chance for this forum to get back to it's roots and reasons so many of us left BOM. I don't know you for long, I read some of your recent shit and it was mostly shit and therefore I can't believe they make you moderator and not me, Cabuche. Who do you think I am I joined in January after I was invited here? Don't start the double account bullshit again, I have heard enough of this recently, it is unfounded crap from people who can't think. I was not at the bom site but I had discussions with others about it, what was your name there? Maybe I could recognize from what others have told me about you to clear things up. Until then I have to regard you as what I told you above based on my knowledge on your stuff here, it is disrepectful, because there is no reason for me to respect you, that's very easy.

Seriously?
Corpse is approved? And I'm rejected?
That makes no sense whatsoever.

Btw... full disclosure for my position is that I only dislike totally one person here. And that is Corpse. I'm fine with getluv and Argos... they are both hilarious.

 Re: Moderator Elections!
I'm on Phone on bus atm so excuse grammar. If elected I plan on dealing with threads a bit more aggressively.
Not angry, just more action oriented.
If a thread is deemed out of control it will be temporarily closed. the participants can have it reopened under controlled circumstances. y submitting a well written appleal explaining their position with the strict guideance that if they do not attempt for resolution then the thread will remain closed and future actions against the poster will be more swift. While "I just dont like X person" os a perfectly valid position, it is not constructive to continued discourse. Corpse, etc. shouldnt feel threatened by this even though I have personal issues with their trustwothyness or posts. In fact I aim for transparency on all levels and I may post the appeals in the closed threads. This will be explained up front. I also think I understand the peraonalities here enough to know what is consided dark humor and I don't wish to enroach on that.

This is proving politically vicious. I predict one mod-candidate will end up dead. Maybe two.

 Re: Moderator Elections!
actually i find if the thread stays open then the drama can be over and done with, especially if it happens in a thread in the water cooler.
if people start making inappropriate comments, chase down the comments not the thread. if a thread is made to provoke someone, then that is fair game.

That's a valid position getluv but through experience may not work. I could however be swayed by a good enough argument

I could however be swayed by a good enough argument if people have their say, teh quicker they can move on. obviously if it is just going around in circles and people are still generally calm then leave it open. the more people can use the forum to settle their disagreements rather than go behind close downs to "bitch" then this will like deplete animosity between said parties. obviously the other forums other than water cooler are very specific. i see absolutely no reason why things have to get personal in the other parts of the forum even if the argument is heated. You are discussing a movie, not the size of their mothers tits. The Water Cooler should be the least moderated area on the forum. Most of the dramas occur here, but most of the time they never break rules its usually individual posters.

 Re: Moderator Elections!
I hear what you are saying but letting people resolve issues without moderation in the Water Cooler is a big reason why the negativity exists here and has driven away a great number of posters. I think your point is valid in a healthy site envionment but I don't believe this to be one. I'd like to try a more direct appriach at first I think.
