Best Forum: TonyMontana's! Has hilarity ever been so compacted within one place?

Okay, we have a lot of categories now! I'm going to make it my goal that the ceremony is done nice and quickly, so that we aren't up until 1:00 in the morning (or say 5:00 in the morning for some international people!), heh. If there are some more categories that you strongly feel should be included among these, or any categories that you think should be cut/won't work, let me know. Thanks! Good job guys.

Yeah, I don't think anyone has really changed, so I don't think it really works, but I put it in incase others liked it. Do you think it should be cut?

lol, I don't know, maybe people have changed, and it's a good category? I just don't know if people will be able to easily come up with candidates for this category. Or maybe I just haven't noticed that people have changed.

well....i dont see the point on having that one, i think the person who suggested that categorie should explain the meaning, but i think its pretty obvious.....i dont know, if everyone likes it, leave it!......

You can drop it if you want, fine with me. I thought we were just throwing out possibilities to hash out and take the best from so I was adding that to the mix to be discussed.
As to who is most changed, actually I had Libs in mind. She seems to have changed a lot in the last month in her online persona.
But maybe that's just me.

Aren't we combining two debator awards? I definitely think we should, since people don't think that hard about the difference when voting, considering Krem got both nominations last year. Best Film Reviewer is a good one. Even if we know Galia will win it for sure, it'll still be a honor to be nominated with her, just like the debator award, even though we know Krem will win.
I would cut Most Controversial Poster since that's kind of a negative award, and I'd cut Most Changed Poster since I don't think it's very meaningful, and it's hard to find enough nominees.

What about "Most Memorable Event" for the last 6 months at the forums? It could be a duel that one poster challenged another, or the movie award show, or a prediction thread where nobody believed one person and it turned out he/she is right (just a hypothesis). Basically we list 5 highlights that are memorable to us. Another one on the similar line would be "Best Conversation Exchange" or just "Best Single Post", since sometimes it's just an instant-classic response by someone at the moment that people are still quoting them in their signatures.

But is it easy to come up with 5 nominees? I could think two that people will automatically put on their ballots.

but also look at it in a positive way
i can think of 4......, but lets see what everyone thinks about the categorie, if the majority thinks its a bad idea, well let remove it!

Okay, I got rid of Most Changed Poster and combined the debating awards into one "Best Debater". I kept Most Controversial Poster for now, since I also think it is not necessarily negative. For example, I think Krem is really controversial, but an awesome poster nonetheless. Also, I added Best Single Post and Most Memorable Moment. Let me know if those are good changes.

C'mon, Best Looking Poster is a must! It would definitely get a lot of competition, though I do think that we should combine genders if at all possible. It's definitely new, and there's a lot of potential for it.

However, this category excludes every member who has not posted a picture of him/herself. I also think the category is rather vein, and not really representative of posters, this forum, or a posters contribution to this forum. If other people think this category should be included though, I'll put it.

It also guarantees a female to win since it's 80% strait guys doing the voting. I agree that it shouldn't be a category.

Some suggestions
- As these are the poster awards and you are including multiple forums, I think you should include all popular forums
* I would add a seperate Favorite Poster - Movies/Box Office/Water Cooler/Sports/Music/TV/Games - remember that in these forums one person may post only in that forum so give those forums there due - it is only one more category EACH and why exclude when possibly excluding a posters favorite - then you might not get their votes.
Also these can be spaced out every 5 awards so there are spread apart and they don't bore anyone.
I think the above covers and can replace
- Most Loveable
and also since this is a poster awards - take out most memorable event
and I would take out most conversial as the positive side is covered above with being a good poster unless you want it for the bad side.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Favorite 'Cinemania' poster or Favorite 'Box Office Bash' poster, it would be a nice change and could be the best supporting actor type award to the 'Favorite Posters' Best actor.
If you are worried you could make it a '3 people on the island' type question where winners for all forums are announced at once? I don't know but I do like the idea. Maybe we can find a way to make it feasable. I wouldn't like to do it if we have to exclude other awards though.
I don't think best thread starter needs split.
I also love the most memorable event idea.
