The Catholic Church is trying to explain to us about morals since they obviously know so much about it. I found that in the world photo thread... Not that i'm a stalker or anything..

If you're going to applaud the pope, do it for something unique he's done.
The fact is, and this is way lovemerox was annoyed by Algren's post, he was just baiting. It's all he does. He goes from thread to thread and baits people into arguments.
Btw, could've fooled me as to who was baiting whom. What? Algren had not said a single thing in this thread. He comes in, praises the pope's actions (which will obviously piss people off), and gives no reason for why he did so until after the fact. That's the very definiton of baiting.
Thank you Makshift...

ALgren...cmon....Even I asked what you meant by your post yet you need to go around acting like a damn 8year old. Its obvious now that all that you were doing was trying to piss people off by coming into this thread.
If your gonna say something, say it and explain it instead of acting like a child about it....
Oh, and Makeshift is right...learn to use the word stamina correctly

Thousands of words get used in the wrong way everyday, i choose to use one in the (supposed) wrong way, and you pick up on it....strange isnt it.
Makeshift and LMR...good teamwork btw. =D>

Good advice for anyone debating issues on this board or on the web in general is to just ignore people who have nothing to add to the conversation. Treat them as if they weren't even there, like when adults have meaningful discussions and ignore kids screaming at their feet for attention.

Sorry to just jump in, but I've got something I'd like to say regarding the issue. Listen, if normal, everyday, people can come to accept and see the uplift in gay marriage, then how come people seem to believe that God, the creator of the universe, is incapable of being enlightened on the issue?
As a society, we are moving forward, and it's about time for the church to recognize it.

How can anyone say they don't like homosexuality because in the bible it's labeled as evil? That's like saying "I don't like trees because they destroyed that nice tower in LOTR."

I just looked at the link ( http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/gay/long.htm).
Anyone who takes that literally truly doesn't understand what religion is about, especially Christianity. But anyway, who can blame you? Even the Pope doesn't get it

I figured people would hate me when I said my belief in page 3. I myself believe the Bible is against homosexuality and it is a sin. In my own personal opinion, I also believe it is wrong...
Living in the "Bible belt", I was just kinda shocked to see so many people actively supporting homosexuality. To me, homosexuality is a twisted form of rebellion and people are not born "gay".
That's all I'm going to say about this for awhile... I don't know what else to say....

Yes. Why would the human race have a gene that prevents it from reproducting (and isn't a weird disease)?

Honestly, this makes me more sad then anything.
You're like 13 years old, and the fact that you already think like this just breaks my heart.

Also, there are many "heterosexual" couples that cannot bear children due to medical complications....So that argument really holds no water.

That's why I said. That's a medical complication. This is different.

Actually, I'm 17. I'm not condemning homosexuals. I'm just passively saying it's wrong.

Nice rebuttle... but still how would a species go on if the opposite members of each gender did not attract to eachother? It would be almost anti-adaptation.
