I was pm'ing with KJ yesterday (yes, that's what MODs and Admin do) and happened to learn that two of my fave new posters roguecommander and neostorm are over from numbers. This is news to me, I assumed you guys were BOM or RT folks. Who else is over here from the-numbers originally? Seriously, I found out they didn't have a huge forum there, but anyways, this is one of those cases of quality over quantity I guess.

Anyways, I don't know much about the-numbers, and since my comp is acting up, I know even less. But seems some fine gents, including kj hiimself, were originally over there. *World*s lovely gain.

The forums were started right around when The Passion of the Christ was released, and they were quite busy for a while. After the Passion exited theaters, it was mainly me, KJ, neo and a few others who kept the forums alive. Now it goes for several days without a post, sometimes weeks. Even when it was really busy it was mainly because of the few active posters and not a high traffic count.

I was one of the newer posters at the forum, I only joined last year June, but it was a really good forum. There are about 6 other posters there (ie. Stefan, and Pim and even abeauty) who are really good.

I've been neglecting htat forum a bit But the activity there is very minimal now.

Yeah, I'm mad with you about that. I started spamming some of the forums to pick em up a bit. I could use some assistance *wink wink*

Well, abeauty was an interesting poster. He would literally ridicule everyone if their "Top 25 Lists" contained films that Ebert and Roeper did not like. He would consistantly berate someone for going to see a movie that Ebert and Roeper trashed. It was terrible. But at the same time he was a good poster and would dig up all sorta of obscure information.

There were some other good ones as well, Sako16 who posts here occasionally was originally from The-Numbers as well.

And yes Dolce, there were no mods. The administrator would sign on maybe once or twice a week and comment occasionally. In fact, at one point, yourmonkey02 and I, who were the most prolific of posters, were trying to handle the spamming problems.

After the forum died, new members started signing up who would never post, but link to porn sites under their profiles. The administrator did manage to fix that, but other then that he didn't do much. The only other time I remember him stepping in was to ban a member who was very abusive in her language and then to edit some spoilers from the thread on The Village (posted on the day it came out).

Thats good to know. I don't know Sako as well, but I like how he hits all the forums and is always nice. Welcome Sako!

He hasn't been very active recently though. It was the same at The-Numbers though, he was more or less sporadic.
