good on me, bad for the streets. I tried walking outside and fell in the driveway but I kept sliding til I reached the streets. There must be at least an inch of ice on the ground.

It's been snowing all day here, since about 9:00. It got really bad when we left school. It's at about four inches now, and still coming down strong.

Lol, a couple days ago we had a so-so snow storm where around a foot of snow fell but we still went to school :D Here it's usualy deep freezes or iced roads that stop school.

Man, I'm jealous...

I keep waiting for real snow storm here in NYC, but it looks like it's not coming this year...   We've only had 2-3 inches so far, comparing to about 20-25 the last winter at about the same time...

The snow was actually a total turnaround for us. I mean completely, 100% turnaround.

Yeasterday afternoon, when I was walking home (about 3:00) it was 75 degrees out (Fahrenheit, of course). I woke up to 30 degree weather and rain. I came out of school with freezing weather and snow. Not even 24 hours and it dropped over 70 degrees.

I freaking love snow... Have been skiing since 4 years old, played hockey since 7... (Both recreationally only)... Later on, I picked up on climbing and mountaineering and was lucky enough to spend some time in the Himalayas in the past two-three years (Planning to go back there late '05/early '06 again)... Man, I'd never exchange that experience for anything... Even though I'm a non-believer (OK, agnostic) I never felt more spiritual than being high up there in a company of good & trusty friends and seeing some of the highest peaks in the world...

You lucky bastard. I've been praying for snow. It's already half way into January, and it's only snowed once here (less than one inch). We usually get a lot of snow, but instead, it's freakin' 65-70 degress outside. ](*,)

G-dude,
If you're gonna make it warm, can you AT LEAST get the sun out? Specifically in the area 'round my house? Tanning. Fun. Thanks.

I'd rather her waking me up and telling me to just sleep in then having to wake up by an alarm clock and having to go to school [-( You're the newf for not thinking of that!

Hate snow.

and whether there is 30 cms of snow or 40 cms of snow, nothng ever closes.

I remember my 2nd year in montreal .... 4 35cm+ snow storms in 1 week. During the last storm, the university was closed for half day .... HALF DAY!!

its only something like an ice storm where even considering closing something down is taken seriously.

Guys,

we have a snowstorm in New York City, blizzard, finally... \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ The first one of the season...

Weather Underground: New York, NY

When it'll stop, sometime tomorrow morning, it'll be total of 14 to 20 inches... We are being pounded now with 1 to 2 inches per hour... Nice, I like it... ;)
