As for the rest of your comment, you'll have to define just what exactly you mean by the word "conservative". Will Barry Goldwater/Ronald Reagan brand of conservatism do?
Yeah, I think selfishness is a bad thing. Foolish me, to care about other people and how they feel.
Use current conservative views. Use the current administration's policies. OK? Good enough? Or will you avoid the issue again by trying to change my argument into something it isn't?

Current conservative view is to give tax cuts to the wealthy over the middle class, thus promoting the selfish desires of the wealthy conservatives. Next?

Tax cuts benefitted every single American taxpayer, rich or poor.

I knew it! I predicted it. If someone went back into the early pages of the World Photo Album, they would discover a picture of my forehead, with "Target" on it!!

Yeah, it benefiited the poor by $300 and the rich by thousands. Good grief, if you are going to ignore facts, we can't have a discussion. The bottom line is this: Bush wanted tax cuts for his rich friends, and that's the only reason. He's for them no matter what the economy is doing. The fact that there may be a miniscule benefit for those of us on the outside of the group doesn't mean the initial desire isn't selfish.
Is there no other conservative policy you can think of that isn't selfish? Or in your mind, does it not matter, because it's good to be selfish? ("Greed is good" - Wall Street)

You're going to have to define selfish now. Because my definition looks to be very different from yours.

I have to agree with Krem here. I'll always think me over anyone else. So technically I'm selfish. Does that mean I don't care about others? Absolutly not.

It's all very ignorant if you ask me.
This thread is pointless beacause we know people are going to be like this. You're calling me a moron?!?! You gotta be kidding me. You say that your very open and then you're not open to anybody else's comments that disagree with you. Grow up. Then you point out to me something about fat people and gay people which i never said and call me ignorant. Look at yourself. You called me a moron for what? If anyone was selfish it would be you. Everybdoy has to agree with you vincent. Why? Because your God? Dont you ever fuckin call me a moron or ignorant again.

I personally do not think theres anything wrong with people thinking we should first think about ourselves before another person. Its selfish but in many cases, theres nothing really wrong with it.
My country pakistan ... they just gave 10 million rupees as donation to srilanka .... my country itself has enough problems of its own .. i'm glad they made the effort to send something but i'm also glad they didn't send a huge amount .. its almost insulting to the people in my own country who needs that money just to live past the next day ...
people have a selfish attitude and in some cases, rightly so..... having said that, i would be glad to see more money being sent out to the relief efforts.
