You know, this is really interesting.
There were more than a few things wrong with the Kerry campaign, and the whole pathetic mess seems a bit too deliberate.
For example, Kerry kicked into slow-motion after the swift-boat ads hit the air-waves. All of those attack ads had been planned MONTHS in advance, as was the publication of Unfit for Command. The whole smear was such an obvious (and extremely well-funded) put-up job, it's beyond belief that anyone would be willing to take such a beating without fighting back.

Yeah it pissed me off yesterday when I first heard about this story.
He's coughing it up now though, but only because he was embarassed and pressured by the revelation.
