M3gan 2 doing the T1 to T2 move will either launch it to blockbuster status or turn people off and flop.. I don't mind rolling the dice.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 2
M3gan is a huge wildcard. The first movie came out just about 6 weeks after ChatGPT was released to the public, giving it perfect timing.
This sequel is coming out 2.5 years later but playing as a campy comedic horror actioner in the summer time vs January is a very different type of run. I do wonder how much of a halo effect there was on all things AI at the time of the first film's release that won't be as strong this time.
I think getting 2/3 of the original's box office would be a win.

It is on mojo at least. We'll take The Rock's Oscar nomination movie The Smashing Machine.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 2
The Safdee bros each have a film this year - one has The Smashing Machine and the other Marty Supreme.
Both have potential.

The Rock started his campaign months ago so he's gonna be pissed if it doesn't come out this year.

Not feeling great about its trailer views especially since they would've hoped for viral attention. M3gan 2.0 3.6 mil (7 days) The Naked Gun 10 mil (7 days) Tron Ares 11 mil (5 days)

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 2
Tron 2's budget was $170M 15 years ago. Tron getting to $200M+ isn't that impossible but if it ends up having a $250M budget or something will need more.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 2
Frankenstein is the type of IP that could blow up with the right movie, but Maggie G who seems like an art director was always the scary part.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 2
My concern with Franky is that i only recall flops - e.g. Branaghs 94 film, I Frankenstein etc. Even Van Helsing wasn't that big a hit.

 Re: 2025 Draft Group 2
Screamboat was released domestically on 4/2 but did not report grosses.
If no grosses are reported by the end of the year, the drafters can pick a replacement.

Did the Peter Pan horror movie report grosses? I figured these Poohniverse movies would have a decent audience by now.
