Just dawned on me that the 20th anniversary of KJ will be later this year, and I now feel old AF.

I grew up finding it stressful socializing with people, so I'm glad to have found some people online I had more in common with, when I was 12-13 I posted on MuchMusic message boards for a few years and then when I was 15 found WOKJ which was a true party and wild mix of personalities and energies and where you could learn a ton about movies. Somewhere out there there's a guy saying "I miss the old dance hall... the drama, the romance, the egos!" In some ways that guy would have the same experience of capturing that moment in time where things were popping.

By 2010s some of the more obviously "extrovert in real life" type of people had moved on, but a lot of the OG regulars were still around and versions of themselves, if we could go back it would probably seem like a really great forum still.. And then even today, at least there's still every day activity and I'm glad that it's a relatively unique forum in terms of the friendly way people talk to each other. Around mid 2010s some crazy things happened to me personally so I'll also always appreciate things like message boarding and podcasts that helped keep me sane.

I think for me KJ helped fulfill a lot of the social itches high school provided that I did not otherwise get from high school as I was very introverted and struggled to make friends during that time period in my life as I had just moved.

In a thousand years our descendants will find this thread buried in the archvies of Earth and say "they voted Pink over Taylor? Really? That site must have had terrible music taste."

I still enjoy KJ and prefer posting here over reddit (though I post there too.) Wish some of our old members would return or maybe a few lurkers would become full timers. Not too many though cause then we just become r/boxoffice lol.

I was PM-ing some random people on reddit lately, I tried box office forum and I tried "is anyone nostalgic for forums" threads but it looks like everyone I got to check it out didn't sign up
