 Re: Sushi or Pizza On the sushi subject: does anyone ever JUST get sushi? Because whenever I have any, I usually have some kind of chicken dish or gyoza or something similar with it. I feel like that draws me more towards sushi, because it's much easier to combine them with other dishes and get a more varied experience. With pizza it's... pizza.

Re: Sushi or Pizza Haven't had any when I tried it in the past. A friend recently told me he always gets diarrhea from cider, but that doesn't happen to me either.

I definitely get sick of sushi after like six pieces. With boxes you get soup, salad, rice and two proteins, and a California roll. Personally i prefer Sashimi and Nigri and not so much the seaweed rolls.

Personally i prefer Sashimi and Nigri and not so much the seaweed rolls. I prefer nigiri too. Simple but raw fish, rice, soy sauce is enough for me. California rolls are fine if there's nothing else available but they really aren't that good.

Re: Sushi or Pizza California rolls are so basic. It's almost like not having sushi at all. Nigiri is proper sushi, and it's delicious. I mean, Sashimi is technically not sushi but for the sake of argument let's include it because it does go around on the belt. I've never been inclined to choose any Temaki. When I go to a sushi bar I don't want to be using my hands like eating a burger. I want delicate chopsticks and everything to feel very Japanese.

Re: Sushi or Pizza Agree on the California rolls guys. I'm not a fan either.
Nigri is indeed what comes to mind when thinking of Sushi. Though fresh sashimi in a quality restaurant is hard to beat.
And using hands for sushi is a no no for me also.
