And Lecter, it amuses me that you come to Holland for things like that when so many Dutch people near the border regularly go into Germany, mostly for lower gas prices and some products that you can't get over here, like proper German bread. I would get all my bread in Germany if I had the option. Do you mind that Dutch theatres play English movies, or do you prefer it that way? And how is it possible that movies release over here before they're even screened for the press in Germany?
German bread is the best. That I would never give up. But there is a much larger variety of products in general (especially meats) in Dutch supermarkets.
I very much prefer watching undubbed films, so yeah, that is a bonus. Unfortunately it alao always means subtitles which tend to annoy me. Ideally I like to watch films in English and without subtitles, but it seems like that is not an option in the Netherlands.
As for how that is possible - I suppose because films do not need to be dubbed, generally the films are released earlier in the Netherlands than in Germany and as press screenings often tend to be close to a film's release (a few weeks or a mnonth before), it happens sometimes that the movie is already playing in the Netherlands because the press screening here.
