It's insane to think that many of us have spent over 12 years here (and if you add the short BOM time, which in retrospect seems much longer than it actually was), it is 14 years.

It's weird how true this feels in retrospect! Idk why but the two years spent posting on BOM (2002-2004) feels almost like an equal span of time despite being just a fraction of it.

WOKJ is one of two forums I consider home (AwardsWatch -- a.k.a. AwardsDaily / OscarWatch -- being the other), although I still have a lot of personal affinity for the (now defunct) BOR forums.

I think this has everything to do with our ages at the time. That is something I have been noticing more and more often anyway. When in high school (or our equavalent of it), the whole school year seemed so long, no? It was something I couldn't wait to be over. I couldn't wait to be 16 and later 18... so time was slow and seemed longer. There are more distinct memories about that time than, say, from my 27th or 28th year. The year starts to blend into each other more, time seems to pass quicker. Maybe because there are fewer "first experiences" and life becomes more and more of a routine. Or is this too profound? Heh

Each moment you are living is a smaller and smaller percentage of your life, so it makes sense it would go faster.

Yes, sure. So enjoy the experiences you make now. ;)

x2

Congrats on 90 K. I mostly only ever post in the box office forum (or Big Brother) but WOKJ has a weird familiarity to it. Some very good box office analysis here.

I have a huge pet peeve about the site though. I am so tired of seeing characters of Twilight when we come to that page and The Campaign? Can anyone somehow at least change that to a photo from the last 3 years?! :pinch:

Magnus's subtle way of telling us he has his shit together and doesn't need us anymore. I see how it is.
