Well, guess you're in luck.
I can't seem to find anything I want there, and when I do, speed is awful.

I agree with Nebs about Ares. I've never had any success with it. I knew I was in trouble when I opened it and it looked like a Kazaa clone.

While we're at it makeshift, know any good big hubs that do not demand high share on DC++? My HD is 10gb, and all I can share is around 4-5gb.

I also agree about Ares, never had any luck with the program.
WinMX is fantastic for songs though.

I've never had any problems with Ares. Ares seems to work perfectly for me and I always get whatever file I wanted.

I only frequent two or three hubs, and they're mostly specialty hubs. One that I go to, though, is really big and i've been able to find mostly everything I want from it.

5GB limit. It says you have to share some sort of punk music, but I don't think any of the OP's there check. Like I said, you can find a ton of crap.

Did the files finish downloading? Because if you preview an incomplete, the files are bound to skip a little since they are not finished, at least I think so...

all you gotta do is look for a version of the song that isn't so large. You prob picked one of the few versions of the song that is always like 3 times bigger then what it's supposed to be. That or the song is very long and needs a lot of kb's.

On WinMX, on the Networks page, check if the connection type is a primary connection to the network and not a secondary connection.

I use Limewire. It's the best I've seen, by far. Lot's of results and almost any song or video you want.

Um... On the Networks category there should be 2 choices for connection types, the bottom one is a primary connection. You should be able to click on it and it will reconnect.
