Frightening stuff.

Hell, in the U.S. we call it "Welfare". But that's "PC". There are those who still call it "Religion", though in our modern times, that usage has fallen pretty much out of practice.
But back in The Old Days, we used to call it "The Draft", or "Draft Evasion", depending on which side you were on.

That's different, though. At least in the UK it is, and my understanding of the term "welfare" is that you get it based on your circumstances - and it will not be affected whether you are the world's most patriotic person or the world's biggest Bin Laden fan. But this Chinese system is just horrible, and is so similar to another of the words you used; religion.

This Sesame system is very Chinese, though. Because it will urge the Chinese to be EVEN MORE fake than they already are...just to get perks in life.

Oh. Then it's like "Surviving in Hollywood".

Hehe.

It will cause alienation of anyone that speaks the truth about China. A country that spouts and forces so many blatant lies on its people, and this system will strengthen these lies so that an entire generation/people will believe it ... and that, sirs, is how false history is created. It doesn't matter what is correct, it matters what people believe. Children believe what parents and grandparents (and teachers) tell them, and the whole thing just continues. So, basically, China will never improve. Ever.

It's actually the other way around. stuffp loves it in China, and gets on pretty well. I struggle.

There is a right way and a wrong way to get your point heard. The HK protesters had no fucking idea what they were doing, and disrupted everyone else's lives while doing it. That was my problem with them.

I think you had little idea of what was happening in HK when you commented on the protests last year. That was a "now or never" moment. The people in HK had been fighting for the cause (free election of political leader) for over 20 years. Working through the legislature did not work because only a little more than half of the LegCo were elected by the population (the other half by corporate and pro-establishment/pro-Beijing interests). A people's movement was the last resort. The main protest site was next to the government HQ, a very appropriately chosen site for the demonstration. And under the political pressure given by this protest, all lawmakers in the democratic camp, along with one switch vote from a pro-establishment legislator, voted down the Beijing-directed election package. So the good thing that came out of this is: although there will not be a free election for HK leader in 2017, there will not be a fake popular mandate for the future leader either.

Yeah, I had no idea of any of that, and I don't care about any of that. I, like many others, only care about what affects them.

Oh, I don't know about that. I will drag down my Chinese friends' Sesame Scores when I post about the Tiananmen Square incident on WeChat.

In Hollywood, they'll call speaking the truth "Pariah". And if you do so, then expect alienation. Expect sabotage of your living quarters by Hazing, expect sleep deprivation and food poisonings through their food holdings, restaurants and supermarkets. And expect denial of needs at the local public hospitals and clinics because they are run by universities which are financed by them. U.C.L.A. was founded by United Artists.

And in just exactly the very same way, if your IP, concepts, plots and/or songs (and whatever physical products that you might create which have Nothing to do with show biz) are ripped by them, they will create a false history and nobody will believe you. You are Pariah until you obey their terms and adopt a false appearance and identity, which is what they are protecting. And then you get to live a double-life which Spites the life itself, and they may still refuse to pay for what they took. And this is because they may want what you have, but for themselves. They may not even want you.

Now I am Pariah. Do you suppose this bad behavior is only on account of a few bad apples at the top of the tree?

I think the Chinese intended alienation is so blatant and public, whereas the Hollywood one is more secret.

Oh, sometimes they let on. Else I might think I'm going crazy. For the most part, they're using "The Silence" and say nothing, though they interfere with everything that I could do for myself.

This was a nice example of how they let on. One day, may years ago, I woke up and opened the front door of my apartment, a 103 unit complex, to find the parking lot full of trucks and personnel from Universal. They were shooting an episode of the NBC tv show, "Las Vegas" with James Caan. This event was unannounced to the tenants, and anybody who drove home during the shoot had to park on the streets outside until the crew left. He was walking around with a very stiff bad back, as though he wore a brace, in obvious pain. I didn't get a picture of him.

I grabbed my camera (with no batteries; I used the AC Adapter) and shot through my binoculars to get this picture. The blue Lexus was used in the show, episode 19, titled, "One Nation Under Surveillance". And I was.
Notice the gopher on the far left in the wool cap? This shot was from over 100 yards away, and I took it from my front door which was partially closed. I never stepped outside. That gopher is looking into the afternoon sun, and from over 100 yards away, he is looking straight into my camera.



This was shot on Valentine's Day. Does anybody remember what his name was in That Movie?
I don't blame him for anything that the local folks are pulling.

Now for the bad behavior, I went to the taping of The Beatles' GRAMMY Tribute at the L.A. Convention Center. On the way home, I stopped at an In-n-Out for a Double-Double. They slipped me a shit burger, and the next day I was expelling out both ends at the same time like Ebola. I was introduced to this particular In-n-Out by a neighbor who worked in Hollywood, and who probably knows the owners.
