Moviemania55 said the other day in a thread that he was thinking of buying a house. But at 21 I think he's too young. 25 is not bad, the only real drawback is that you better really like the area and not have any desire to move or find career paths that take you somewhere else.

my house cost around $65,000-$70,000

2 floors, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms

very cheap houses over here, but you cant compared them to those of the US, there not THAT big,
but there making new neighborhoods all around with pretty big houses, those cost around 100,000-120,000 not sure

OK, i'm slightly freaking out. I bought a house today, spending £125,000 (roughly $230,000) and i'm freaking out, is that something i should be doing at my age?? did i mention i *may* be freaking out?

Someone say something to take my mind off it.... please?

Congrats Andrew! Enjoy it. I'm bitterly jealous

That's a wise move, and it is truly lovely to be able to build a place up as your own. I think its a nice solid start, and lets hope the rest of your ambitions see fulfillment soon too.

A house is a great investment, and is much better than paying a landlord every month! Congratulations!

Best of luck to you Andrew! Just think in a few years time when you're all settled in and ready for another milestone, you can think back to this time and know that you can move forward an achieve something else to be proud about!!

at the age of 25, if you can comfortably afford a house, go for it. I'm sure the real estate is good these days and a house is always a good investment. Just make sure you're not killing yourself with payments and the house itself is good : )

wait, you already bought it.
