I tend to ignore people that bug me, and from time to time I will get in a tuffle with them. Unless they stick up like a sore thumb. I'm not out to create enemies though, and my goal is to have conversations with people like Algren, Michael, BKB... people I really disagree with, but am at least attempting to see their points of view (on occasion!).

I have been quite critical of Mav in the past for the way he handles some issues, and I have fought with him and especially with Dr. Lecter viciously at many times. There is a running joke here that Dr. Lecter and I can't agree on anything. Anybody here, including Mav and Dr. Lecter, can tell you that. I also think that Rod and Dr. Lecter's comments on your voting topic weren't probably the best way to add to the conversation.

Then again, all three of those posters, at other times (most of the time actually), contribute in intelligent and meaningful conversation that I value a great deal. I don't think I've ever been involved in a meaningful and valuable conversation with you. I don't mean that as a put down but I personally don't think I'm ever going to be capable of having one of those conversations with you either.

I know you have some problems with Dr. Lecter and what the rift between the two of you is, I have no idea.

You are always trying to bring attention to yourself. That is a problem. But that is not the biggest issue here.

The biggest problem you have is that you want faceless people's approval. If that is your attitude in life, you will make a nice doormat.

What do you care? It is not like anybody who doesn't like you pays your rent.

If people on some boards don't like you, go elsewhere. There are million other places you could go.

It is your choice whether you want to be a pseudo victim and come back for more derision or show some backbone.

Actually it has nothing to do with approval - in the past, I have always tried to defend my position. And not be pushed around.

Today, I have had more discussion than I have wanted but it is a good cool down to where I want to go. At least, I haven't let them get under my skin - I have not said many of the things that I want. I have referred many points to the ADM.

Hopefully, this is a good way of me getting to that step - where only true talks about topics and not assults by faceless people, will be answered.

One more thought Goldie. One thing I noticed about you is that you take everything as an insult. Not everything is. That's one reason I dreaded even bring up the third-person dealey, because I knew that, for some reason, you would react the way you did: spiteful, resentful, and generally angry about it. You may not think you look that way, but that's the way you came off.

Why? - Just look at yesterday, I made forum suggestion improvements - which started with Libs getting cursed out - and GOLDIE was bashed for his comments.

As already stated Goldie, and everyone else, we're discussing this matter this week very seriously. I've thought a little about it and i'm sure eagle has as well. Till then, lets not try to keep these threads from springing up. Once eagle and i have talked and we've decided on a few things, i'll open this up. Just remind me to do that.
