 His 116th Birthday
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-22211753Wow. I don't think I'll even live to 90, let alone 116! Just think, even when he turned 90, he still have another 26 years left. Crazy. Trust the Japs to have the two oldest living people on the planet. They're healthy. Must be all that seafood.

 Re: His 116th Birthday
As of mid-2012,
Age Breakdown: 0-14 (14%), ~18 million people. 15-24 (10%), ~13 million people. 25-54 (38%), ~48 million people. 55-64 (14%), ~18 million people. 65-74 (21%), ~27 million people. 75-99 (3%), ~4 million people. 100+, ~52,000 people (340x more than 50 years ago)
The best part is that many that are over 75 or even 100 are very healthy and still working.
Some reports claim by 2050, more than 1 million people in Japan will be over 100. The life expectancy increased from 83 to 86 in just the past three years. Okinawa (pop. 1.4 million) is the oldest prefecture of Japan. 35/100,000 people are over 100.
