I think it gets a little weird when, as someone else said, people take the forum seriously and act as if it is a real place or something. Like, remember the awards-show "red carpet"?" People were posting pictures and being all "Jennifer Garner is arriving! Let's go talk to her!" I mean, what is that? That's actually kind of creepy in a way, I think.
Anyway, I don't think I'm weird at all for posting here. I have a pretty active social life, so it's not like I spend *all* my time here, heh.

I haven't talked to an actual person in 4 months. My skin is a green tint from the glow of the monitor. My eyes are red and might actually be bleeding from staring at the monitor in the dark (my lights got shut off). I have to steal power from the neighbors just to power my PC.
I have this entire dream world built up where I make believe all of you are celebrities and I am the center of your world. I'm really 61 years old and cry myself to sleep at night from lack of human contact. I sleep on old newspapers that I found and hug my keyboard for comfort (I have no covers).
My 50+ cats keep me company (mostly strays) although inbreeding is starting to occur and I have one with 2 heads and a few with legs that aren't in the right places. I haven't fed them in months as I am too scared to go outside and can't make it to the store to buy food. Their howls keep me company along with the voices I hear that tell me to do things.
So... I may be a little eccentric, but I am not weird.

Nah, it's not weird if you don't spend all your time on here. I only spend 3 or 4 hours max a day on my computer, some days not at all. As long as there is a balance then it's okay. And like Libs said, as long as you don't think it's an actual place, then it's fine. It's nice to have conversations with people who have the same interests, and the fact that you are talking to someone who lives across the country, or the world, is pretty cool. I know half of my friends aren't as intelligent as the people here, and hardly any enjoy talking about movies/awards, etc.

i dont think you can measure your wierdness from how long you spend online
Me and my friends spend alot of time having voice convos over MSN and stuff - do people call other people wierd for using the phone alot?
Well MSN is pretty much allowing you to multitask the phone and whatever you have to do online.
