Yeah this match is insane. How thoroughly Tsonga is dismantling Nadal, and Nadal isn't playing terribly or anything, only what... 6 unforced errors in 3 sets so far?
Rather astonishing.

I missed the Nadal/Tsonga match - but just reading about it This guy is on a roll! Should make for an interesting final whoever he plays.
Great comeback for Ivanovic after a dismal start to the match.
So Ivanovic Vs Sharapova on Saturday. That has to be the "hottest" grandslam final...EVER!!
What the hell. Nadal was playing so well and he just imploded. Damn it. I thought he really had a good chance this year.
He didn't implode, Tsonga exploded. Nadal wasn't playing poorly, maybe he was a little rattled and not placing as best, but he had only 11 unforced errors in 3 sets. Tsonga had 46 winners and 27 unforced errors. Nadal just couldn't get anything by him.

Reminiscent of Gonzo's run in Melbourne last year.
I don't think Nadal will be able to overtake Federer for #1, for a fair bit, considering how much Nadal has to defend on clay and considering Federer's early losses last year in IW and Miami.
On another note, is it just me or have the linesmen/women been awful at this year's Australian Open?
Maybe you just notice it more because of of Shotspot. But the federer vs Blake match was awful. The chair umpire overruled many calls or non calls from the Linesmen/women and was right every time.

I completely agree, the linespeople have been absolutely crap this tournament. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it. The players looking at their box every time they may want to challenge for reassurance bugs me too.

I was watching the highlights of Roddick talking back to the officials during his loss yesterday, it was fucking hilarious
"Hey everyone, who here agrees this umpire dropped out of school when he was 8? I sure do. I mean it's the only way he could be so dumb, he must've dropped out of school in second grade. You're an idiot."

Well, at least it's better than screamy vs screamy (Williams vs Williams). Those girls scream like they just tore their ACL.
The overall use of grunts perturbs me.

I think players have been right 40% of the time this tournament.
Lindsay Davenport made me laugh during her first round match, she was being so sarcastic after this one bad call.

Federer's looked quite poor off the ground, both the backhand and the forehand, this match. Novak's getting a lot of Roger's first serves back, so Federer isn't getting as many free points which he has relied on this whole tournament.
If Federer wins this set, though, I see him taking the match.
Novak has problems going long.
If Federer wins a set, it's gonna be in a tiebreaker, I can't see him breaking Djokovic.

OMG. I hope Novak wins, Roger is making the men's game more boring than it is.
i thought this was a funny video. his impersonation of Maria Sharapova is so dead on.

Novak vs Tsonga. Both young (20 and 22) and both cocky as hell. I would have preferred Federer to go through - but this is better for the game. A new grand slam winner will be crowned and both are rising stars.
