 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
It doesn't seem like a long term partnership. Otherwise they would have made him change his name right? I'm sure they will match him up with everyone they can before hand, but I don't see AJ Styles ever winning the World Title.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Reigns is obv in the Triple H match, maybe there's a chance they add Ambrose to the match, but I can't imagine that Reigns isn't in it
I heard rumor of Braun vs Taker at Wrestlemania, with Braun beating Big Show at Fast Lane first to look strong. Vince pls

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Braun vs Big Show does seem set for Fastlane considering they've begun setting it up.
Braun vs Taker, however, would be as lackluster as one could get for Taker's possible final outing. Not to mention, he likely can't get Braun up for the Tombstone which would be another disappointment.
There doesn't seem to be anyone available to give Taker a great send-off, though, so...

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Owens vs Undertaker seems like the play. The disrespectful asshole vs pride and legacy and gives him a chance to have the best match of the night.
But if Braun and Big Show at Fast Lane is now a surefire thing circa Smackdown (which I haven't seen yet) I would think the odds of that match being to set up Braun for someone bigger in Undertaker or Lesnar are now high unfortunately. The side benefit for WWE I guess is I'm picturing them going the Survivor Series route and making Undertaker and Lesnar team up against Bray and Braun (or all 4 Wyatts this time?) at the PPV after Wrestlemania which apparently is Payback, not Extreme Rules this year.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
This certainly appears to be genuine.
If it's not, and is instead setting up some surprise Wrestlemania moment; I'll be shocked that the WWE managed to pull something like this off in this era.

Sad for Bryan, though pleasantly surprised of all the mainstream media coverage. I hope Bryan goes into movies, he has such comedic talent.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
It's so rare since maybe 2000 for one guy to unite a crowd the way Daniel Bryan has. Cena, Reigns, no one WWE has pushed as the top babyface has been able to get those crowd reactions. People can say it's just easy to shout "YES!" but no way could Cena have started that and pulled it off. And it will last as a classic crowd reaction for years to come, the same way Stone Cold's seemingly throwaway "What?" has never died off.

I heard a rumor of Undertaker's Wrestlemania opponent being Goldberg. That would be pretty cool.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
That would be beyond random.
I'm holding out hope for Sting. It just makes sense. The only downside is we're so many years past a good Taker/Sting match.
I'm holding out hope that something happens at Mania that isn't Triple H vs Roman Reigns, or worse yet, ANOTHER triple threat match. At this point, I'd rather Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar, with some kind of heel turn to force Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose at Mania.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Well the full rumor was that his opponent is someone not on current roster and that's how some people came up with Goldberg idea. I guess Sting would count as not on the roster and if available physically they would go for it. Batista can't be available for timing reasons I would think, GOTG2 just starting filming. Kurt Angle, they don't want to die in the ring. Finn Balor Demon vs Demon would be fun but would they give an Undertaker WM match to an NXT wrestler?

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Well, Fastlane was... something. The bad, bad moments:
>The Wyatts losing, yet again. Like, seriously? You're billing them as this unstoppable force for months and months, but they lose every feud. It makes no sense and effectively destroys their credibility as any threat on the roster.
>The Edge and Christian/New Day/League of Nations segment started off well, but ended really badly.
>The impromptu 5-minute Social Outcast/R-Truth and Goldust match before the main event was easily one of the worst moments on PPV ever. WTF.
The mostly good moments:
>Owens/Ziggler, as expected, was perfectly solid. However, it was... just that. Solid, nothing more, nothing less. *shrug*
>AJ Styles/Y2J was quite good, and the best match of the night. It was far from one of the best recent matches, but still satisfactory and a good conclusion to this feud.
>The Triple Threat match was mostly entertaining, though the ending was too sudden. I'm fine with Reigns winning. I like Reigns, and find the audience constant disapproval of him unfortunate. He was booed before, during, and after the match. Creative (Vince) has got to do something with him in the next six weeks, otherwise the audience is going to maul him at Wrestlemania.
Overall, mediocre.

Shane versus Taker in Hell in a Cell at Wrestlemania.
Unless Taker really wants to go out losing this way, I doubt this will be his final Wrestlemania.

That was just about the most insane thing that could possibly open Raw. Meltzer stays winning.

The fuck is this insanity.
I mean, if Shane gets to pick a wrestler, it might lead to Taker/Cena!!!!!!!!!

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Fast Lane Owens and Ziggler and Jericho and Styles were both pretty fun wrestling matches, along with ADR and Kalisto. The main event didn't do anything surprising but overall I can't complain about Lesnar match. Making Brie go against Charlotte this PPV was the right call, the storyline was solid for a filler PPV and I actually thought she might win for a second and then her and the Diva's belt retire on Raw leading to Women's belt coming back. With the Diva's tag match, Wyatts vs plugs, Edge and Christian segment and R Truth and Goldust (!!!) segment taking up time on the main card, I'm amazed the ADR vs Kalisto match was on pre show, maybe they will intentionally try to pump up kick off shows now?
As bad as Wyatts vs Kane, Big Show and Ryback match was, without seeing Raw yet I'm kind of fascinated by that booking decision as much as anything else at the PPV. If they were building Bray up for something like Lesnar that doesn't happen. So does it mean Bray vs Ryback could be a Wrestlemania mach? While having warts for the obvious reasons it could be a strategic decision to make Bray win a badly needed Wrestlemania match, or win any major feud. My biggest problem with it is that if they were feeding a face to Bray at Wrestlemania, there are more fun choices like Ziggler vs Bray or Styles vs Bray.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Updated WM card from Raw so far: Roman Reigns vs Triple H - WWE Title Shane McMahon vs Undertaker - Hell in a Cell Brock Lesnar vs Dean Ambrose - No Holds Barred Triple H to be in a third main event that's completely overshadowed by the undercard.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Your top guy simply cannot have the audience, practically the entire audience, chanting "YES! YES! YES!", "This is awesome!", "Triple H!", etc., when getting beat down with a bloody face.
Lately, the Reigns backlash feels even greater than Cena's at times.

That felt like another entry in the LONG list of out of touch attempts to get Reigns over.
