I expected so much more out of this one given the premise and the casting of Mel Gibson as Santa Claus who is great in this, but it never lived up to its potential. I never found it dull or boring because I did enjoy the performances from Walton Goggins and Marianne Jean-Baptiste, but there is barely any action in this movie and you don't even really get to see Mel Gibson be a badass until like the last 15 minutes of the movie which was a pretty disappointing and anticlimactic finale IMO. It's a decent enough flick overall, but I was definitely expecting it to be better.

I hated this. The concept is completely botched by the screenplay and execution which fails to realize who this movie is being made for. Mel Gibson and Walton Goggins are great in this and the movie moves a quick pace but its just hard to root for these paper thin characters.

I really liked this, has a fun story, the right soundtrack and good performances from Gibson and Goggins. They both shine in this both gritty and humorous take involving the legend of Santa, which shows just enough to reach into those assumptions we have on it and gives us a nice taste of how it's all somewhat plausible. There's enough action in it for me, it's well paced, Goggins is menacing, very solid film.
