Re: Come Play
This was better than I expected it to be. It does rely a bit heavily on jumpscares at times and it also becomes pretty predictable towards the third act, but its well directed and acted and I loved how the Larry creature was used in this, especially the sound design. I even enjoyed the fact that it looked like a solid combination of practical and CGI effects which is always a plus in my book and the ending being so bittersweet worked really well for me.

Re: Come Play
Great acting and decent scares saves this otherwise simple ghost story. I wished instead of pushing down agenda of "kids on internet/tablets" they could have explored the origins of Larry better because his origins and world were more important to this story. Gillian Jacobs is great in here but John Gallagher Jr. is wasted in here aside from a scene or two. I can clearly understand why these two actors were attracted to this movie, specially the bittersweet ending. The settings of the scares are nice but it does rely a little too much on the jump scares in the middle half. Larry's design was apt and creepy though I wish it got more screen time specially in the first half.

Re: Come Play
It's decent. Moves a little too slow but the direction is strong and does a nice job of building tension. It's very atmospheric. And the last half hour is pretty solid. B
