This movie is absolutely ridiculous but if you realize that going in it's a lot of fun. The concept is really strong and aside from some horrific CGI it's fairly well shot. The final act goes off the rails a little bit but that's part of the charm. B

I really don't understand the underserved hate for this movie. Is it silly sure, but I also thought it was alot of fun with a pretty fantastic and badass performance from Chloë Grace Moretz who is easily the MVP of this movie since she has all the best scenes. I definitely would have liked to see the male characters do a bit more, but its made pretty obvious from the beginning that this is mostly her movie and that she is the main focus of the story. I loved the scenes with the Gremlin though which added alot of tension to the action sequences in the movie and I was also suprised by how good the CGI looked for it aswell. If your looking for realism this isn't the movie for you, but its great popcorn fun IMO.

Same as above reviews. Its not riveting but it works as a brainless action thriller and Chloë Grace Moretz runs away with this. The CGI looks very dated here and the love story is completely non-existent but the first half works really well and the overall movie has a good energy/flow while never taking itself too seriously.
