Rosamund Pike is magnetic as Marie Curie in this but the movie around her isn't. It starts off really well but loses steam in middle where screenplay just checks boxes instead of telling a compelling story. The love story of the dead husband is the center of the movie but we see Marie sleeping with another man. Anya Taylor-Joy is wasted in here as her relationship with her mother are never explored other than a mere mention. It needed a focus point to hold the script which it does not as such its just another passable biopic.
