This reminded me of first Insidious movie which was neither a freshest concept or best use of the setup but makes the most out of what it had. Yes the witchcraft wasn't effective but it was done nicely. The scares are decent and there is always a doubt if its PTSD or something malevolent going on here. The ending could have been more scarier but I liked how they use daylight to bring out horror (its really difficult to achieve this) and the whole lake story could in itself become another movie in itself.
I was really enjoying the first half of this even though it did remind me a lot of Insidious as well. The set up was interesting and it did have some effective scares, but I found the whole third act of this movie pretty silly and quite laughable to be honest. It just went to far off the rails for me, but I will admit that I was never bored.
