The Man Who Knew Too Little
It's one of those comedies that you know just works, and it does, very well. It's not laugh-out-loud funny (Murray takes care of that) but it is clever how they plan and intertwine the two realities. I love how at every stage Murray just thinks it is one big act, and he does play the dumb American rather well. One of the things I really liked is seeing the British supporting players, especially Richard Wilson. The final scene on the beach is absolutely shit, and totally out of sync with the rest of the film. I hated it, and couldn't believe they wanted people to leave cinemas with that in their minds, because the preceding 90 minutes was actually enjoyable.
