Re: The Space Between Us
Kinda sloppy in story (and a "twist" that doesn't really have a payoff) but the romance is cute and endearing.

Re: The Space Between Us
This actually looks super cute. I'm glad it's not supposed to be horrible.

If you pay attention the to trailer (which I've seen 50+ times now thanks to my part-time job) we learn three things:
1. He can't live on Earth for too long (why would they do this to a kid?) 2. She's leaving foster care as soon as she turns 18. 3. There's a shot of the two of them floating in one of those "vomit comets" where they kiss.
Does she turn 18 and decide to live in space with him? (I can't believe I just typed that) He'd eventually get use to Earth's atmosphere, but that doesn't seem to be where the film is leading.

The film ends with him having to live in Mars again because his body can't handle Earth's atmosphere. The end of the film shows the girl in foster care, and Carla Gugino who plays a woman who took care of the boy in Mars, decides to adopt her right before she turns 18 (lol) and then one of the last scenes you see the girl beginning to train for NASA, probably to try and get a job for them or be an astronaut to go back to Mars. So yeah, it ends with it seeming that she is intending to go back to him. Whoever at STX that decided to release this against Passengers... LOL so stupid. This is probably gonna flop big time.

Re: The Space Between Us
I said it was cute though!!
It's a good move though, it'd make a decent VD film. So instead of making sub-15 million in December it can do... a little more.

Re: The Space Between Us
It wasn't good and surprisingly the acting from Butterfield and Oldman was poor. The ending is also just misguided and boy that was an awkward sex scene with no chemistry on screen/screenplay at all.
