Intriguing and mostly gripping film. It give a real good depth inside the psyche of the human being, from the participant of the experiment to the observer of it. The film is also excellently cast, Ezra Miller and Tye Sheridan totally surprised me, as found them out of place in other films of them. And Crudup gives one of his best performances too, it instantly made me more of a fan of him. The film has further a very chilling effect in that it doesn't hold back in bringing the worst that's inside humans to our attention.
It's a fascinating study, that's very well brought to the big screen. It's main flaw is that it doesn't try to make the story appealing to really engage in, or to either make one character the focal point of the film. It mainly stays in the observer's corner. It also feels long, and there's long-winding moments, taking some of the interest away at times. Ultimately there's just not too much happening, but it's strong cast keeps it moving forward well enough.

Agreed with stuffp this was gripping drama that raises more questions as it answers a few. It makes you question "what would I do" specially when you are trapped as a prisoner in this make-believe prison. The young cast is great but Crudup steals the show in his scenes. It does get repetitive from the middle but it goes on with the same setup for another 30 minutes before coming back to the topic when is this experiment enough for the observers and when will they decide to leave of make it stop. The other flaw I had was the emotional aspect which the movie is unable to bring forth after Miller's departure, but the proceedings even though repetitive are engrossing enough that it does not take away from the experience.
