Criminal Activities
This is a decent film. I really enjoyed it. The twist I half expected but it still delivered an upbeat and cool reveal. Travolta and Haley are awesome as usual, but Michael Pitt, while his performance is not sensational, surprised me. I liked him here - he can act. But Dan Guest is the star of this show - almost too goofy of a performance to be genuine. Good mob-feds double-cross thriller. I enjoyed this as much as The Forger, and I look forward to more non-theatrical Travolta thrillers.
One of the highlights is when Travolta beats a mechanic with a crowbar.

Found online this has a run time of 94min, but I saw a version of just under 80min. Was mine edited? (Would then really hope to see the unedited one). Anyway I thought it was nicely made for its means. Pleasing cast.

Re: Criminal Activities This movie has a great twist in the end but the script is unable to hold attention for 94 minutes of runtime and the director does not command your attention even with all the great actors in the movie. While the finale is something that I never saw coming and it was good, the actual motivation for it was still quiet deliberate and felt like some liberties were taken there.
