Survivor

I tell you what, I'm really enjoying Brosnan's recent filmography. He is a ruthless assassin here, intent on detonating a bomb over Times Square on New Year's Eve in return for money that would be made on betting against the market, and it is clear to see he is enjoying himself playing a bad ass gun-for-hire. Though, for some reason, only Brosnan is skilled enough to shoot this huge big ball filled with a deadly and explosive gas. But I can overlook that, lol. Milla Jovovich is an immigration official with a past for seeking out terrorist activity with regards to people getting access granted to the USA. It is set in London, and McTeigue keeps it simmering along nicely, until it hits New York, which is when it rightly peaks. Survivor was slayed by critics, but they are being unnecessarily harsh. It is a decent thriller that I would much rather see playing in cinemas than some of the crap that is released every year!
