Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead
This is an awesome Aussie zombie fest. Bloody and fun, with newly created "rules" for the genre. It's a blast. Aussie cinema has really shown strength in the last few years. Then there's Bianca Bradey, a hottie, showing the most delightful cleavage throughout most of the film. Her eyes are so penetratingly gorgeous, too. Allowances have to be made when considering the budget, but they did very well in terms of makeup and effects. Probably one of the best zombie films I have seen. It's just a flat-out thrill ride.

Re: Wyrmwood
Your review sounds way better than your grade.
I will see it at a festival soon, I am excited.

Re: Wyrmwood
No matter how much I enjoyed it, it's still a low-budget zombie flick that covers old ground. I didn't feel there was any need to say that as I want Wyrmwood to be seen by people. Ah well, now I've said it. A B is a solid and fair grade for it.

Re: Wyrmwood
This movie was pretty awesome. Way better than that other Aussie zombie-flick Undead. The main characters are likeable a lot of fun follow although I could have did without all that weird shit with the mad scientist, and controlling zombies with psychic powers.

Re: Wyrmwood
A daft, heartfelt, spry zombie romp shot on a shoestring budget over the course of three-and-a-half years and imported from Australia. It is not on par with either, but an apt description might be Shaun of the Dead by way of the dirty-sandy hydraulic aesthetic of the Mad Max franchise. It has a few neat ideas (zombies are slow by day, fast by night; zombie blood is a suitable replacement for petrol) and a few gory, well-executed set pieces.
