Quote:
Lethal Weapon 3 is a 1992 American action film directed by Richard Donner and starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Joe Pesci, Rene Russo and Stuart Wilson. It is a sequel to Lethal Weapon and Lethal Weapon 2, and it is part of the Lethal Weapon film series.

The movie is set in 1992, six years after Riggs (Gibson) and Murtaugh (Glover) originally met. The pair are joined by their companion of three years ago, Leo Getz (Pesci), as well as beautiful but aggressive Internal Affairs Sergeant Lorna Cole (Russo). This time, the villain is intelligent but ruthless former LAPD Lieutenant Jack Edward Travis (Stuart Wilson).

It was the first one I watched in the series, but it's not as good as the first two. Still a great movie though.

Lethal Weapon 3 - A-

Brilliant movie, great bad guy, even if he was a bit generic. Comedy all the way with this.....but also the duo of Riggs and Murtagh really comes alive here...

Loved it. It has not the action the first two had, but the humour is far superior. Joe Pesci is top-notch and Rene Russo proves to be a worthy addition to the franchise. I had a blast. (B+)

Great movie, not the best sequel. Its great action film of the 90s. A little too much humor for its own good, but the serious subplot of Murtaugh killing the kid is very good.

The first part of the 2nd two LW films is very very fun.

Hmm I didn’t really like this one. The stakes felt so much lower in this somewhat bummer of a movie, and because of that I just couldn’t get by the issues I was able to overlook in the first two. Riggs being a dick and future #MeToo poster boy was too much. The glacial pacing (despite action scenes occuring every 5 minutes) was too much. I like that it tried to show how the “innocent” are affected by the eternal war between cops and criminals, but that idea only went far enough to keep Glover on the force for Lethal Weapon 4. Though Glover does give a great performance in this movie, which almost single handedly brings it from a 1 star movie to a 2.
