The film is based on the novel of same name, which is based on an interpretation of Bible prophecy, written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, and is a reboot of Left Behind: The Movie. The film is set for an October 3, 2014 release.

Left Behind
It's probably the worst movie ever made. Simply atrocious. The acting in it is hilariously bad. Complete Bible bashing bullshit. Cage has hit a new low. The worst thing is that it's directed by Vic Armstrong, a man I kind of admire for his work on Rambo III, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade etc. But wow, this film is pure shit.
I know how it got a theatrical release. For one, it stars Nic Cage and they probably thought that would elevate it slightly, but the main reason is that they thought it may catch on like God Is Not Dead and Son of God etc.
It did achieve something, though. I finally found a 2014 film that is worse than Need for Speed.

Re: Left Behind (2014) Algren's right. This is pure shit. I had serious troubles sitting through this. I love Cage and want to see as many movies of him as possible so I kept watching, without Cage I would have turned it off after the first 5 minutes.

Re: Left Behind (2014) It has some good laughably bad moments including Jordin Sparks pointing a gun at a midget. Plus I'm fairly certain this is at leats better than God's Not Dead/Heaven is for Real.
Also, Cassi Thomson is cute.
