Dumb and creepy (not the good kind), but at least Woodley has "perfect tits". I don't know why, but imagining Thomas Jane and Woodley fucking is going to haunt me for awhile.
And I know all teenagers are conceited and movie detectives are all around fucktards, but come on. They couldn't get a warrant to search the house?

Shailene Woodley is great in this and the movie has some interesting moments, but it's mostly a mixed bag. A couple of the performances (namely Chris Meloni and a completely miscast Eva Green) are awful too. C+

Shailene Woodley is great, and I like most of the movie, but the ending let me down. B

Re: White Bird in a Blizzard
I really enjoyed this. Awesome soundtrack and Woodley is very good in it. She has also never looked better.
I was expecting something weird as shit and totally out there for an ending being that this is a Gregg Araki film and seeing that others didn't like the ending. But it joins Mysterious Skin as having a pretty normal ending and I really didn't have a problem with how it ended. This is no Kaboom, Nowhere, The Doom Generation, etc... Probably Araki's second best film after Mysterious Skin, with Kaboom being next in line. Really didn't like his earlier stuff.
8/10 (B+)

Shailene looked really good in this movie, surprised about the nudity.
I dug the movie. I think there was an interesting atmosphere during the whole thing, and the reveal at the end certainly caught me by surprise. I read that the book has Phil and Eve being the one having the affair so it's only apt in an Araki movie that it'd be changed.

Re: White Bird in a Blizzard
Shailene was really good in this movie and there is a good atmosphere but the movie lacks focus specially in the first half and that ending makes first half look even worse. It also tries to be both a coming-of-age drama as well as thriller without being a convincing one for either of these sub-genre. I was also surprised by the nudity in this. Meloni and Green are completely mis-cast here and they are basically sleep-walking through this movie. That ending did take me by surprise but it was never hinted before so its completely unearned.
