Re: Runner Runner
RUNNER RUNNER
This is an average film. Some moments of the soundtrack popped out as interesting to me and I did like the introduction to the online poker world and how that functions. I am a bit familiar and experienced in that, so that interested me. However, the film just isn't anything memorable. I thought Gemma Arterton was very stunning in the film, Affleck was bleh and Timberlake was bleh. The only actor to stand out for me was Anthony Mackie. Overall, it was a film with a beginning and a end and that was that.

Re: Runner Runner
This was crap. Timberlake was completely unconvincing as lead and the whole movie was just so lazy.

Re: Runner Runner
Lifeless. It looks pretty, and I could stare at a tanned Gemma Arterton until my dick fell off (or until I was forcibly taken to a hospital), but I couldn't have cared what was happening by the end. It's a shame too because I think there's a good movie here, at least story wise. Rarely are bad films made better by making them longer, but at 91 minutes, only Timberlake's character is fleshed out. If the film had spent another 20-30 minutes fleshing out Affleck and Arterton's characters, maybe then it could've worked. Oh, and the R-rating is wasted. The film should've been a lot sexier, both in tone and appeal. (C)

Runner Runner
Average, by-the-book fraud thriller. They glossed over a lot, and the dialogue is pretty dumb. Affleck was actually ok, but Timberlake and Arterton were mediocre. The film is not hard enough for the lifestyle it portrays.
