Re: Sound City A rather fascinating and enjoyable history of the recording studio, which doubles as a critical look at the evolution of music production over the past 40 years. Though the last act unfortunately turns into a making of/promotional video for the upcoming soundtrack, it's still an impressive debut for Grohl, who truly puts his heart and soul into this and shows admirable documentary skills. It's not exactly unbiased, but it doesn't have to be.
I dug it a lot, though I'm probably exactly who the film is geared towards.

Re: Sound City Giving it your heart and soul just isn't enough in the real world.
I love Grohl, but I don't want to see this. Grohl should stick to doing what he does best, making music.
